What you will do
Perform inspection, testing and maintenance/repair of Wet, Dry, Pre-Action and Deluge Sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA and State of Department of Health. Candidate should have the ability to accurately discern, and document deficiencies found during an inspection.


What we look for
Required:
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years field experience with Wet, Dry, Pre-Action and Deluge Sprinkler systems.
  • Functional knowledge of Wet and Dry Sprinkler Systems.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to communicate with employees, employers, customers, and authorities having jurisdiction both written and verbally is desired.
  • Ability to stand or climb stairs and ladders for a long period of time.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of forty (40) pounds without assistance.
  • Excellent "Customer Service Skills".
  • Good written and oral communication skills and good organizational skills.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment security, drug and background check.


Preferred:
  • Knowledge of fire pumps, backflows, and standpipes a plus.

Our success throughout New England has created a need for a Fire Protection Apprentice to work out of our Lewiston, ME office.
What You'll Be Doing:

Working under the direct supervision of a qualified Journeyman

Laying out, assembling, installing, maintaining, and servicing fire sprinkler systems in commercial buildings throughout New England

Being a positive and professional representative of Encore while dealing with customers, directly and indirectly

Requirements

What You'll Need to Do it:

Minimum 1-year experience in pipefitting field

Must be able to take direction from supervisors and then work independently with minimal supervision, follow directions and meet deadlines

Must be able to work at heights and lift at least 50lbs.

Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation with willingness to travel within the state of Maine.

Must be able to pass a drug screen/background check as condition of employment

Candidates should have interest in construction industry and may possess experience reading blueprints, using hand tools and operating machinery.
