Operations:

People:

Facility/Safety:

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: As the Culinary Intern, you will learn how the internal operations of SusieCakes works as well as learn key leadership skills that can be used as you pursue your culinary career. Our mission is to provide you with the knowledge around running the complete operation as efficiently as possible, while learning key leadership skills to coach and develop people internally.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations:
Review production schedule with the General Manager, Head Baker or Production Manager.
Learn quality standards pertaining to SOPs and how recipes are followed.
Participate in a purchase order, inventory count, and waste tracking with follow up procedures.
Learn each shift in the Kitchen including Bake, CC1, Open and cakes.
Shadow the Culinary MOD on closing numbers, and learn daily leadership responsibilities
Learn the guest service journey and how we greet, welcome, and connect with our guests by maintaining service quality standards, handling guest orders and transactions.
People:
Connect with General Manager/Head Baker to learn how we develop, motivate, and coach our team members to instill a positive working environment.

Learn how to calculate COGS and evaluate how the store has performed to company standards

Box, package, or plate cupcakes and other bakery goods as needed.
Act with a high level of detail when following instructions down to the dot on top of a Sprinkles cupcake.
Requirements:
A passion and love of the Sprinkles product, brand, and experience.
Culinary/pastry certification preferred or at least 1 year of previous food service experience (i.e., cook, server, host, baker, busser).
Ability to work a changing schedule that can begin between 12am, 2am, or 3am.
Ability to communicate verbally and understand/follow written and verbal instructions from management.
Must be able to move around the front of the bakery as you bend down for bags and reach up for cupcake trays.
Ability to be on your feet for hours at a time.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 60% of the time.
Can lift at least 50 pounds, which can include carrying cupcake trays, frosting, and bags of boxed purchases.
Can work well under pressure and maintain a consistent pace through the shift.
