The apprentice will work under the supervision of experienced technicians, assisting in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of solar energy systems. Key Responsibilities Include: · Assist experienced technicians in inspecting solar energy systems and identifying potential issues. · Learn to troubleshoot and repair technical problems, including electrical and mechanical components, under supervision. · Support preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal system performance and longevity. · Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, replacements, and parts used. · Help maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and replacements. · Operate a company-issued vehicle responsibly and assist with equipment transportation. · Engage in ongoing education about solar technology trends and best practices. · Operate a company-issued vehicle with respect and integrity. · Provide excellent customer support during site visits or over the phone, ensuring client satisfaction. · Other duties as assigned by management, such as climbing on roofs for inverter replacement and system removals and re-installs. Other duties may be assigned. * Troubleshoots and repairs pneumatic and electromechanical automated assembly machines, to include: * Adjusting and repairing of pneumatic valves and air actuators. * Checking and troubleshooting electrical circuits. * Adjusting and programming vision systems. * Troubleshooting and repairing electrical sensors. * Able to solve technical issues of Extruders and Injection Molding machines. * Proven expertise in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of various welders. * Performs preventative maintenance on all production equipment using the "Limble" CMMS program, to include: * Cleaning of equipment. * Lubricating mechanical parts. * Changing air or lube filters. * Maintaining welding electrodes. * Replacing punches and dies. * Replacing miscellaneous parts such as batteries, springs, screws, wear items, etc. * Utilizes "Limble" CMMS program to schedule work orders, report repairs, and manage spare parts and record maintenance, to include: * Developing maintenance schedules. * Receiving and performing scheduled maintenance. * Generating work orders. * Inventorying and requisitioning spare parts and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished. * Performs machine change overs and setups to include: * Changing tooling such as grippers, nests, punches, and dies. * Changing out feeder bowls and parts feeders. * Changing programming setup. * Performing test runs to achieve first good part. * Dismantles machines and removes parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, and/or hoists. * Inspects or tests damaged machine parts and marks defective areas or advises supervisors of repair needs. * Sets up and operates machines and adjusts controls to regulate operations. * Transports machine parts, tools, equipment, gases and other material between work areas and storage, by using approved devices, such as cranes, forklifts, hoists, or dollies. * Contacts / Coordinates vendors and outside Contractors for help on some projects. * Must be able to build, install, troubleshoot and commission new equipment in collaboration with Engineering. * Continuously recommends equipment components improvements. * Trains Maintenance and Production personnel on troubleshooting, routine maintenance and proper machine use.
