Following the guidance of the 1990 London Summit, the North Atlantic Cooperation Council (NACC) was established on 20 December 1990, responding to the political changes in Central and Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union.
After a loss of $800,000 on net sales of $319.1 million in 1993, the firm's finances improved during the rest of the decade.
Since 1995, the School of Professional Studies and its forebears have administered and developed innovative programs to fulfill a diverse array of inquisitive students’ needs and desires.
The NACC became the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council in 1997.
In 1998 SPS acquired the following five firms.
In 1998, after the end of the Cold War, an Independent High Level Review Group was tasked by the North Atlantic Council to conduct an in-depth review of the NATO Science Programme.
Many years later, in the late 2000's, a new crop of Duquesne students led by Sean Krupa - now a PhD candidate in photonics at the University of Ohio - proposed the Chair of the department to petition for an SPS chapter.
In 2002, the Board of Trustees of Columbia granted final approval for the creation of the School of Continuing Education, the first new school at Columbia in 50 years.
The NATO Science Committee met in Brussels on 11 and 12 March 2004 and approved a number of new elements to be included in the Security Through Science Programme.
Many years later, in the late 2000's, a new crop of Duquesne students led by Sean Krupa - now a PhD candidate in photonics at the University of Ohio - proposed the Chair of the department to petition for an SPS chapter. Thus, in 2009, after a hiatus of about forty years, the Duquesne SPS chapter came back to action under Sean's enthusiastic lead.
Pursuant to shareholders Resolution dated June 14 2010 the Company name was changed to SPS Finquest Pvt Ltd . A Fresh Certificate of Incorporation consequent to such change of name was issued vide certificate dated July 16 2010.
It was also in 2010, that SPS Programme was opened for collaboration to experts in the countries participating in NATO’s Istanbul Cooperation Initiative.
The original Red Book was missing from the "physics junk" box, but was located in safe keeping at the SPS National headquarters and brought back to Duquesne in Gary White's luggage for the 2011 ceremony.
At the same time, SPS cooperation with Ukraine and other Eastern partners was stepped up significantly, making Ukraine the major beneficiary of the SPS Programme in 2014
Since the crisis in 2014, the SPS Programme launched new flagship projects in Ukraine’s priority areas of cooperation.
In September 2015, a Consequence management field exercise, jointly organized by the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) and the State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine, took place in Lviv, Ukraine.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko visited a demonstration of the SPS Telemedicine project on 21 September 2015.
In 2016, the Foundation for Springfield Public Schools ranked number seven out of 188 of the top education foundations in “Stepping Up: The Nation’s Top K-12 Education Foundations 2016.”
NATO’s Science for Peace and Security Programme (SPS) launched a key project in this regard to train and equip Iraqi officers in Jordan in 2016.
In 2018, the SPS Programme celebrates its 60th anniversary.
