Responsibilities Lead the development, establishment, and enforcement of quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, processes, and enhancements throughout fabrication and field erection. Create and implement methodologies for data collection and analysis to ensure welding process efficiencies and quality standards are consistently met. Develop welding/fabrication processes and guidelines to support new technologies and existing AISC practices. Write and maintain test plans, audits, quality control manuals, and operations systems Outlined by AISC standards Oversee the creation of a field QA manual, aligned with AISC requirements, to strengthen the company's image and assist in bid proposals. Conduct internal audits and assess adherence to QA standards, ensuring fabrication, erection, and welding processes meet AISC quality requirements. Coordinate and communicate test progress, results, and relevant information to project managers and executives. Manage the quality control team, ensure project requirements are met, and cultivate knowledge of QA best practices. Provide mentorship, coaching, and training to QC staff and junior team members. Plan and conduct performance evaluations for QC staff and administer necessary disciplinary actions, raises, bonuses, or promotions. Travel to off-site locations for evaluations, consultations, training, and audits. Requirements Must have welding inspection experience Proven experience in quality assurance within the welding, fabrication, or construction industries (Required) Strong understanding of AISC, ASME/API, and related regulatory standards. Experience managing quality control teams and ensuring adherence to quality specifications. Ability to develop and implement QA strategies, manuals, and processes. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring and coaching staff. Ability to conduct audits, inspections, and quality assessments.
