Job Description:
The position is responsible for correct set-up for the proper selection of material and operation of Automated or manual load/unload in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Other duties include inspecting, sticker placement, sorting parts, and plasma cutting. The position may assume additional duties as assigned. The successful incumbent will be detail oriented, able to follow instructions well, and work well in a team atmosphere.

Activities / Tasks:
Laser Operator:
* Sets-up and operates machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
* Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely fashion
* Performs minimal programming on machine
* Cuts and inspects parts for accuracy, places correct stickers on parts and sorts
* Assists in performance of trouble shooting on machine when needed
* Correctly interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
* Safely and effectively use of hand tools, measuring tape, and machinery
* Operate an overhead crane
* Drive a forklift
Punch Operator:
* Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings correctly
* Sets-up and operates machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
* Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely fashion
* Assists in performing trouble shooting on machine when needed
* Safely and effectively use hand tools, measuring tape, and machine equipment
* Inspects finished products
* Sharpens tools as needed

* Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed
4. Continuous Improvement and Documentation:
* Use ERP system and other technology to prepare reports for planning, performance monitoring, issue identification, and improvement
* Maintain accurate records including: production reports, inventory data, safety logs, employee performance records, time and attendance records
* Create reports on key performance indicators
* Identify opportunities for process improvement throughout the facility to enhance efficiency, equipment performance, quality, reduce cost, and optimize operations
* Implement lean manufacturing principles
* Participate in other projects as assigned that relate to the overall goals of the department and organization

* Perform repairs and replacements, dismantling faulty parts, wiring, and components; make temporary or permanent fixes as directed.
* Operate tools and equipment, including lifts, forklifts, ladders, and company vehicles; assist other trades when needed.
* Complete documentation and housekeeping, such as production logs, reporting defects, maintaining tools, and observing safety rules.
* Monitor and maintain auxiliary systems, including boilers, compressors, and power loads; perform preventive maintenance and fuel checks.
Key Qualifications:
* 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or electro‑mechanical troubleshooting in a manufacturing or facilities environment.
* Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, manuals, and work instructions.
* Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment (low to mid voltage).
* Proficiency with hand and power tools, multimeters, megohm meters, oscilloscopes, and calibration equipment.
* Preventive maintenance (PM) and condition-based maintenance (CBM) skills, including documenting findings and closing work orders.
* Ability to analyze circuits and perform component-level repairs (e.g., sensors, relays, contactors, drives, PLC I/O-basic familiarity).
* Material selection and planning: choose appropriate parts, fasteners, wiring, and consumables for the job.
* Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 50lbs. Steel toed shoes are required on the distribution floor.

**A Brief Summary of This Position:**
Valmont Substations, LLC., specializing in the delivery of high voltage substations and transmission line equipment nationwide, is seeking a Warehouse Associate. Job Description:
The position will be responsible for working in the process of cooling tower manufacturing as well as performing visual inspection of the product as it is produced on the line. * Utilize Dodge analytics, GovSpend, and dashboard metrics for ENV SCP review meetings.
* Make joint sales calls with Environmental SCP's to position Seepex products & services and manage current Environmental market OEM's and work with Business Development Manager to identify new ones.

* Maintain a list of key biosolids and pump personnel within Engineering firms.

**A Brief Summary of This Position:**
This position is an individual contributor role accountable to supporting the Project Manager in the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of medium to high voltage electrical substation and transmission line material procurement project ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitment and goals.
**Essential Functions:**
+ This position reports to the Senior Director of Substation Packaging and has no direct reports and no indirect reports
+ This role requires up to 10% travel domestically including overnight stays
+ Review clients' detailed drawings, and written specifications and perform "Take-off" of custom structures, equipment, and material required for electrical substations
+ Prepare estimates based on technical specifications, scope of work, drawings, and/or sketches - including detailed quantities of take-offs for each job order and entering line items into an Excel spreadsheet
+ Determine the most economical and cost efficient material conforming to project drawings and specifications
+ Confirm all necessary materials and supplies are included in the scope of work and ensure that unnecessary items are excluded from the estimates.
+ Obtain quotes from several manufacturers for equipment and material items. Be able to negotiate pricing with manufacturers.
+ Be responsible for accurate quantity take-offs on quotations for customers
+ Organize material lists for electrical substation or transmission lines
+ Prepare accurate material orders
+ Review and check in the material at arrival to verify compliance with project orders.
+ Assist in order execution, ensuring that all contract requirements and project management procedures are followed
+ Assist Project Manager in tracking required submittals, preparing subcontractor agreements, developing and maintaining schedules on multiple projects while ensuring that project costs are controlled and financial risk is prevented
+ Assist the Project Manager in developing the project scope of work; including preliminary approximations of the types of materials to be used and basic quantity count
+ Support customers in various ways, including technical and logistical support, deliverables, invoicing, and payment to effectively and consistently meet and exceed customer needs, while ensuring interactions stay consistent with division strategies and objectives to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability
+ Assist in closing out projects by obtaining all required documentation and assisting with pre-final inspections and As-Built drawings
+ Ensure proper fit and functions of the product by checking drawings, cut sheets, material dimensions, etc.
+ Provide updated reports of project status to project management as required
+ Proactively identify and implement strategies to reduce project costs, maximize production, and enhance customer relations
**Other Important Details about the Role:**
+ Must be able to travel 2-3 days per month if required
+ Ability to work closely with high-level customers, maintaining and enhancing strong, long-term customer relationships
+ Knowledge of construction methods
**Required Qualifications of Every Candidate:**
+ Preferred Bachelors in a relevant field or associate degree with 3+ years of experience or 5+ years of relevant quality experience with steel products
+ A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
**Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, 1-2 year technical degree, or related trade plus a minimum of 2 years related experience with a commercial or industrial general contractor
+ Previous experience in a substation-related field, such as Substation Engineer, Structural Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electrical Designer / Detailer, Electrical Lineman, Inside Sales, Drafter
+ Experience with AutoCAD
