Position Title : SQL Developer Lead
Position Location : This position is currently remote and onsite and Washington, DC


Daily Responsibilities :
Performs requirement analysis, data design, database structural changes, and implements complex SQL and PL/SQL code based on high level customer requirements to develop queries and reports from Oracle SQL Developer tool. Advanced level experience converting requirements into SQL code, developing test cases and scripts, supporting UAT and production support. Identify specific fields in Data Warehouse from which to pull data. Where current data exists outside of Data Warehouse, add fields to Agency Data Warehouse to house pertinent data. Aggregate data from offline sources, clean data, and put in format for upload to Data Warehouse. Upload data to newly created fields in Data Warehouse Experience with data load automation, Python, Unix Shell, Batch files. Experience using Excel to create test reports, automate testing, Excel formulas, macros, filters. Experience with reporting tools like Tableau, MicroStrategy, Power BI. Ability to work independently in small team environment, manage tasks assigned, and complete assignments on time. Experience in Agile methodology, user stories, story board, JIRA, source control tools

Data Engineer.

The Data Engineer position will be a member of the ReaderLink Data Administration and Integration Team. The opportunities for the team and this position include new development and enhancement of existing business applications for future growth and implementation of industry best practices.


What You Will Be Doing:

Work closely and effectively with database administrators, business analysts, subject matter experts, and other team members to determine data extraction and transformation requirements. Develop and support new/updated data flows between internal applications and 3rd party solutions, ensuring data meets business needs. Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Tune and optimize performance of processes, while ensuring the highest security standards. Create, document, and execute test plans, including white-box testing, black-box testing, positive and negative testing. Maintain systems in accordance with best practices to improve security, reliability and resilience of the systems in production. Be a champion of data security and a steward of data quality. Provide post-implementation support by performing problem analysis and resolution as needed. Work using an Agile/Waterfall hybrid development life cycle methodology using version control (TFS). Document, review and ensure that all quality and change control standards are met. Take ownership and support of assigned deliverables, and adjust well to changes in priority. Develop accurate estimates of effort and timelines, ensuring that all assignments are completed accurately and within approved delivery schedules. Ensure efficient and effective IT Department operations by providing back-up support to department personnel in performing daily tasks as needed. Provide after-hours support as needed. Be flexible to manage other tasks as assigned.


What You Will Need:

Possess high-level skills with SQL Server 2008 R2 or higher. .NET skills with C#, Windows Services and Web Services Object-oriented programming and XML Willingness and commitment to learn Consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve. Strong teamwork and customer service skills Good verbal and written English communications skills.
