POSITION SUMMARY: The position responsibilities include but are not limited to the receipt of incoming shipments, putting material to stock in the warehouse, pulling, kitting, and presentation of stock to the shop floor as required to support the Production Schedule. The pulling and packing of material for outbound shipments will also be required. In addition to the physical handling of the material, the inventory records must be updated and maintained for each transaction. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments Accurately pull and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications Prepare items for shipment, including wrapping and weighing the pallet Determine method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates Affix shipping labels Unpack, examine and route incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages Meet shipping deadlines by working required hours and be able to work any required overtime (only if approved) Accuracy when counting parts, both incoming and outgoing Combine like parts into locations Operate a fork truck to lift, move or hoist shipping/receiving materials from the shipping/receiving area to storage or work area Maintain above average attendance Put product into proper locations Keep bins filled Maintain self-motivation and work with minimum supervision Perform inventory transactions in system Pick parts for production and assist with production pickups and other needs MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: High School Diploma or equivalent Pull products from racks and prepare product for shipment Work with minimum supervision Strong communication skills with co-workers and supervisors Strong initiative & ability to work independently Ability to work safely and ensure that shop floor safety procedures are followed Capability of doing multi-task jobs Better than average attendance Accuracy in counting parts Computer knowledge/running labels Certified fork truck driver (Will train if necessary) Certified First Aid Attendant (Will train if necessary) Responsible for the quality of our product Minor responsibilities that go hand-in-hand with running the shop; will be identified specifically as needed Proficient at using iPad WORK ENVIRONMENT: The performance of this position requires exposure to atmospheric conditions such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures. Working conditions are those of a warehouse environment. This job requires the use and safe operation of powered fork trucks. This position is considered a safety sensitive position. Safety sensitive positions are those with tasks or duties the employer reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employees or others. Safety sensitive positions, as an example, require activities with hazardous materials and/or operation of a motor vehicle, other vehicle, equipment, machinery or power tools. The Wash Tank Changer is responsible for draining, cleaning, re-filling, and re-charging wash tanks in order to maintain proper performance and quality standards as required by the customer and/or recommendations of management. Our 2nd shift is 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM Monday - Friday, some Saturdays. Candidates must be able to work overtime during designated shift hours. Responsibilities Clean all aspects of tanks thoroughly, including hard to reach corners, according to manufacturer's recommendations and/or work instructions Read, understand, and follow daily tank change lists Read, understand, and follow tank change work instructions Communicate work log completion and report any scheduled changes that were not able to be performed and the reason for the deviation Follow established procedures for chemical handling and tracking Follow prescribed safety procedures such as lock-out/tag-out processes and donning proper personal protective equipment (PPE) Key Qualifications Hazardous Material and Waste Management certification Lockout/Tagout training Maintenance Certificate Competent oral and written communication skills Computer proficiency with MS Office and MS Excel Work Environment/ Physical Demands Exposure to harsh conditions such as dust, grime, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures for moderate to extended periods of time is possible. The person in this position will be required to enter the empty wash tank in order to clean. This employee will be required to demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas. This position requires operators to pass a pulmonary function test, audiogram test, physical and are required to wear a respirator at all times while handling certain chemicals.Sitting 10%, standing/walking 90%. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required.
