SSOE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Management Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have professional-level Mandarin interpreting and translation skills and the ability to accurately and efficiently translate technical documents, facilitate real-time discussions, and bridge language and cultural gaps to ensuring clear communication, project alignment, and successful outcomes. Responsibilities
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution. Serve as a primary point of contact for project-related inquiries and information dissemination.
Provide professional verbal and written interpretation and translation between Mandarin and English to facilitate effective communication with stakeholders, clients, and team members, as required by the role.
Coordinate and manage the exchange of information between the design team and the project management team to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
Facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute meeting minutes. Assist in the creation and tracking of action items.
Proactively identify and address project-related issues and bottlenecks, escalating critical issues to project managers for resolution.
Maintain and manage comprehensive project documentation, including permits, technical drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs.
Implement and manage a robust document control system, ensuring version control, accessibility, and compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Ensure compliance with document retention policies and procedures.
Manage and archive project close-out documentation.
Prepare, coordinate, and track permit applications for local, state, and federal agencies, including environmental permits, building permits, and occupancy permits. Assist in the preparation of permit packages and ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Assist in the preparation of project status reports, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues.
Utilize advanced features of software tools such as Bluebeam Revu for markups, quantity takeoffs, and collaboration.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in project coordination or project assistance within the AEC industry. Experience in project coordination or project assistance with a focus on high-tech or semiconductor projects is highly desired.
Demonstrated professional proficiency in both Mandarin and English, with the ability to accurately and effectively translate and interpret written and spoken communications as required by the responsibilities of the role.
Proven ability to manage complex project documentation and workflows.
Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint). Experience in PDF editing and markup software (Bluebeam Revu).
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

+ Builds analytic and design skills.
+ Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
+ Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

**Qualifications**
