Schedule
Part-time | St. Cloud Hospital | Adult Mental Health Unit
48 hours every two weeks | 8 & 12-hour overnight rotation | 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. & 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
32 hours every two weeks | day & evening rotation | 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. & 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.
All shifts include a scheduled weekend | Every other or every third weekend | Friday, Saturday, Sunday | Holiday rotation
Pay and Benefits
Starting pay begins at $18.56 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience.
Pay range: $17.71 - $26.54 per hour
Earn extra pay for working evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
2 years of college with courses in psychology, sociology, and/or social work preferred.
Six months experience in nursing assistant or similar role preferred.
Must be able to effectively handle escalating behavior and utilize physical safety holds with aggressive patients.
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training initial and on-going training provided.

Qualifications
Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure. Must also be a graduate through an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice. Conforms to the supervision and licensing standards of the state(s) where services are provided. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment. When applicable, may require valid driver's license.

Job Description

Qualifications
The LPN must have graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate's degree in practical nursing is preferred. Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements.
Requires current licensure as a practical nurse in the state/states of practice.
The Behavioral Health Tech must have good human relations and communication skills. Must be able to follow procedures and instructions given by the licensed nurse. Whether working in Minnesota or North Dakota, certification is preferred. A Brief Overview
Serves as a liaison for nurses, counselors, and patients in interdepartmental communications. Assists with the physical and psychological care of patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered.
What you will do
* Demonstrates effective communication skills to create a positive work environment.
* Participates in the daily inter-disciplinary treatment team meeting as needed, providing input in terms of patient behaviors and interactions with others.
* Implements suicide precautions as needed.
* Assesses changes in patient's condition/behavior and notifies RN and/or Counselor.
* Assists with the activities of daily living care of the patients to include, but not limited tovital signs, collection of specimens, and other general nursing care procedures.
* Maintains accurate and concise records, documenting promptly all pertinent information in the patient's EMR.
* Assesses impending agitation and escalation of behavioral changes and participates in the behavioral management of these patients.
* Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharging of patients.
* Assists with medication monitoring and education at facility.
* Ensures that patient's valuables and personal items are properly handled.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
* 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
