Certified medical assistant/certified nurse assistant job at CentraCare Health
The LPN, CMA or MA will provide patient rooming for all types of clinic visits, communicate results and other pertinent medical information to patients and providers, assist in assuring the day-to-day activities of the clinic are completed timely and efficiently, assist Providers with clinic procedures, accurately and appropriately document procedures and treatments in the patients' electronic medical record, perform telephone screening and gather information from patients to communicate to the RN or Provider, administer appropriate medications and immunizations to patients under the direction of the RN or provider, recognize patient's abnormalities or urgent care needs and seek appropriate assistance.

Full-time | 72 hours every two weeks | Clearwater, MN
Days | 9-hour shifts | 7:30am-5pm
No weekends or major holidays
Pay and Benefits:
LPN starting pay begins at $22.40 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
Pay range: $22.40 - $33.58 per hour

MA starting pay begins at $18.40 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience

Summary

* Provides assistant level care to Surgical Services patients within unit specific defined limits. Assists with preparation of the physical environment prior to surgical procedure, cleaning the room using prescribed sterile techniques, ensuring the maintenance of a clean and organized environment.
* Transports patients to and from assigned room and assists with the preparation and positioning of the patient prior to surgical procedure.
* Checks and maintains appropriate levels of surgical gowns, masks, cleaning supplies, and other supplies for the department.
* Transports specimens, cultures, blood products, and body fluids to laboratory using universal precautions.
* Contributes towards improving department scores for patient satisfaction on unit-based scorecard through peer-to-peer accountability.
QUALITY/SAFETY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Reports observations, conditions and problems of patients to licensed personnel to achieve desired patient outcomes. Provides for the privacy of patients and families, keeping the safety of the patient in mind.
* Reports "near misses" and inputs errors promptly into PSN to improve processes and identify trends. Assists in identification of corrective action and improvement activities.

The CentraCare Lakeland Clinic is located next door to the Rice Memorial Hospital and is a multi-specialty clinic with physicians and advanced practice providers.
