On February 22, 1954, Margherita Daris awoke in her home in Carnegie to find her young daughter, Antonietta, still feverish from an infection she had been fighting for several days.
St Claire opened its doors on July 1, 1963.
In 1971 home health services began to meet the needs of homebound patients in eight surrounding counties.
The 280,000-square-foot, six-story building will be called the Dunlap Family Outpatient Center when it opens in late 2020.
