Per Diem Physician Assistant - Urology | Brooklyn Campus
The Urology team at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital provides care for the full range of urologic disorders, from the most common to the most challenging. PAs are included in a range of urologic procedures including BPH, ED, kidney stones, infertility, and urologic cancers. The urology PA is part of a comprehensive team covering surgical patients admitted to the hospital as well as performing urology consultations. PAs serve as front line providers rounding with surgical attendings, writing notes, orders, and performing necessary bedside procedures.
The Department is looking for a per diem PA to cover nights, weekends, and holidays, at least 2-3 shifts per month.
Preferred Criteria
Minimum of one year of experience in inpatient urology.
Masters in physician assistant

**Responsibilities**
+ Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include: checking schedules and organizing patient flow; accompanying patients to exam/procedure room, assisting patients as needed with walking, transferring, dressing, collecting and processing specimens and point of care testing, preparing for exam, etc. Assists physicians with various procedures, takes vital signs, relays instructions to patients and or families; answers calls and provides pertinent information.

Maintains stock items for examination and blood drawing rooms, forms used by clinical staff, etc. Notifies appropriate others to order depleted stock. Maintains a safe, sanitary and therapeutic environment for patient care; assists in the cleaning and maintenance of technical equipment used in patient care and utility room; reports equipment requiring repairs to appropriate others. May answer telephones and issue appointments as needed. Performs other job-related duties as required.
This is a 40-hour a week Monday- Friday position. Schedule may vary between the hours of 8:00 am - 7:00 pm, overtime as necessary. This position is located at 700 White Plains Road, Scarsdale, NY, NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester.
