**SUMMARY OF POSITION:**

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Must be ARDMS or CCI registered or proof of graduation from an applicable program. If registry eligible must be registered one (1) year after graduation date.
+ Must obtain BLS certification within three (3) months from hire.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Must be ARDMS or CCI registered or proof of graduation from an applicable program. If registry eligible must be registered one (1) year after graduation date.
+ Must obtain BLS certification within three (3) months from hire.

SUMMARY OF JOB
Echo Technologist is responsible for the completion of Adult Echocardiograms; knowledge of and ability to perform Adult Echocardiograms with Definity Contrast and Saline Contrast studies, performing Exercise Stress Echocardiograms and/or Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms; assisting Cardiologists with Transesophageal Echocardiograms; accurately acquiring and storing studies in the Cardiology reading system and performing electrocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients when needed.
RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS
* High School graduate.
* Certification of completion from an AMA approved cardiology training program and documented experience performing non-invasive diagnostic cardiology procedures. Associates Degree preferred; but not a requirement.
* Registered Diagnostic CardiacSonographer and/or Registered CardiacSonographer preferred through ARDMS and/or CCI - or - Registry eligible and attain registration certification within 1 year of hire
* Documented training in Echocardiography and at least one year experience performing Echocardiogram studies.
* Current CPR certification
