    The Radiation Therapist is an ARRT Registered Therapist responsible for administering radiation therapy as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. This role requires interaction with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure patient comfort and accurate treatment delivery. The therapist is involved in patient care across all age groups and plays a vital role in easing patients' fears regarding radiation therapy. Responsibilities Set up patients correctly for accurate radiation treatment delivery. Provide explanations to patients regarding what to expect during treatment and simulation. Warm up treatment machines and maintain equipment in proper working order. Position patients for simulation and obtain necessary radiographs. Maintain visual and audio contact with patients at all times. Schedule daily treatments and manage patient records as per protocol. Monitor and report any patient adverse reactions and ensure physician visibility during treatment. Perform weekly chart checks to ensure compliance with treatment plans and regulations. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Must possess ARRT certification. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required. Experience using Elekta equipment is essential.
