This internship will work within the Atlantic Consolidated Laboratory to assist the Medical Laboratory Scientists and other team members.
The Medical Laboratory Scientist Internship's responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Collaborate with scientists on projects involving hands-on laboratory computation and data analysis projects
Under appropriate supervision and guidance assist in performing waived and non-waived testing, trouble-shooting equipment, and other duties as assigned
Available Location:

Qualifications
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited undergraduate or graduate program at a public or private College/University, and be in good academic standing at their institution
Must be committed to completing the duration of the internship from June 2026 - August 2026
Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
Completing a course of study such as Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Pre-Med or Medicine, or related disciplines
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Be highly organized and team-oriented
Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required)
Willing to ask for help as needed
Demonstrated experience handling patient samples (preferred, but not required)

Job Description
The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist is responsible for preparing and assisting in cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (STEMI), and various other interventional procedures. Responsibilities
Prepare and prep for cardiac caths, PCIs, peripheral vascular, pacemaker, and interventional radiology procedures.

Provide procedural assistance to the physician during procedures.
Assess and manage access sites and promptly inform the physician of any issues.
Adhere to on-call protocol for the Cath lab and prepare patients for procedures.
