Responsibilities
This position works under the direction of the Director of Business Development. Cultivates referral relationships, manages assigned territory, and completes patient assessments. Makes sales contacts as well as analysis of referral and admission data from assigned territory. Works collaboratively with business development team members including the Admissions Manager and admission staff, as well as nursing and other internal and external staff to facilitate the referral conversion. Qualifications

The primary goal of a Scribe is to increase the efficiency and productivity of the Physician they are working for. This employee allows the Doctor to focus on what is most important, the patient.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the Physician.
Responsible for the operation of the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) of patients.
Demonstrate a basic understanding of examination and procedure codes (ICD-9 codes) when inputting into the EMR system.
Ensure that accurate procedure coding/charges for all procedures/drugs for all patients and correct diagnosis codes are used.
Anticipate Physician needs to facilitate the flow of the clinic.
Open and close exam rooms as needed.
Help with testing and keep rooms filled to maintain flow of the clinic.
Must be discreet, tactful, and modest in performance of the duties so as not to distract medical staff from patient care.
Good judgment, organization ability, attention to detail, and ability to be self-motivated are especially important.
Must be willing to travel between offices.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Working knowledge of medical terminology and accepted abbreviations.

Position Summary:
The Educator develops and presents educational programs that increase or reinforce knowledge and critical thinking for all service lines within home health and hospice services. This position develops programs and learning methods for staff, according to educational needs and modalities. This position also coordinates the orientation and training of new and existing staff. Additionally, the Educator evaluates and improves the effectiveness of the orientation program. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke's mission and values.
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Experience: Must have at least three years of nursing experience, at least one year in either a home health or hospice agency. Must have strong knowledge of Medicare Certified Homecare or Hospice and the Medicare Conditions of Participation.
License: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri . BLS (CPR) certification upon hire.
