1945 - St Luke’s School opens its doors.
On October 27, 1946 St Luke’s began as a mission church of St Brendan’s Parish in Riverside, RI. Just five years after its mission beginnings, St Luke’s Mission became St Luke’s Church.

1947 - The school expands by one grade per year.
Ground was broken for St Luke Catholic School on September 15, 1949, and the cornerstone was laid on May 21 of the following year.
By September 12, 1950, the first classes were taught in the new school.
By the 1950′s it was well established as a separate parish.
On October 27, 1946 St Luke’s began as a mission church of St Brendan’s Parish in Riverside, RI. Just five years after its mission beginnings, St Luke’s Mission became St Luke’s Church. It opened in 1958 with 225 students in five grades.
The school was issued its first charter in 1959.
The school board was established as the governing body of the school under the authorization of the Trustees of the Mission, and their first meeting was held on February 12, 1961.
Opening in September 1962, with a capacity for 50 students in grades one through five, Saint Luke School welcomed the Felician Sisters from Lodi , New Jersey, as its teaching faculty.
The year 1963 marked the first parish celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation and First Eucharist.
Beginning in 1969, college credits were added to the curriculum.
By February 1904, the school was serving 63 students. It was reconstructed with additional space and opened in November of 1973.
1974 - The Church of St Luke in the Fields is formed.
In June 1979, the parish split into Saint Catherine of Sienna in Great Falls and Saint Luke in McLean.
The school decided to make 1979 the last year for tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grades, allowing GSL to focus on developing students in preschool through middle school.
In 1982, Saint Luke Church opened, replacing what had become known as Our Lady of the Gymnasium.
Eventually, Saint Luke School expanded from four grades to eight and kindergarten was added in 1985.
In 1985, a wing was added to the North side of the building to house a kindergarten and a new, enlarged library.
In 1986, GSL acquired Snowden Field and Miss Lee’s School of Childhood, allowing the school to expand its preschool offerings.
Under the leadership of Father Gerard Kalinowski (Parish Priest), St Luke's School began its development in 1988.
In January 1989, St Luke's Catholic Parish School opened with 12 staff members and an initial intake of 98 students from Preschool to Year 3.
In November 1991, the school remodeled the gym, adding rooms for music, art and slsadministrative offices.

1993 - The new playground opens.
The preschool facility opened in 1994 and is housed in the original convent building.
Since her appointment to SLS in 1996 she has coached Middle School Basketball, Varsity Boys Basketball and Varsity Girls Basketball as assistant coach, each for two years, Head Varsity Girls Basketball coach, and Head JV Girls Basketball coach.
1997 - The Grace Sawyer Library is dedicated.
He then returned home to his alma mater, St Luke's, to begin teaching history in 1998.

2007 - Bart Baldwin is named Head of School.
In 2009, thanks to the generosity of the PTO, all classrooms were fitted with Activboard Technology and 20 new workstations were purchased for the faculty.
In 2010, the Anchor Center opened on campus, featuring a new gym, cafeteria, library, music and art rooms, science labs, dedicated space for After School Care, and a greenhouse.
In 2010 there was a severe shortage of primary school places in the London Borough of Camden and the North West of the borough, where St Luke’s Church is located, was a particular pinch point.
In Spring 2010 the Department of Education set out how local groups could serve their communities by setting up new state funded independent schools where there was a proven need.
St Luke’s CE School, and its short history, is unique! It opened in September 2011 as the first Church of England Free School in the country.
On 9th September 2012 the school was officially opened by the Bishop of London, Richard Chartres.
In 2012, the kindergarten classroom was completely renovated to create a bright, spacious place where children can thrive.
The school operated as a division of the church until it achieved independence in 2012.
2012 - St Luke's School becomes an independent school.
In 2012, she joined the Technology Department as the MS Academic Technology Coordinator and also teaches a section of 8th Grade US History.
In 2013, the Preschool program was introduced to serve three and four-year-old children.
Graduating its first “senior” class in 2013, St Luke’s Episcopal School will continue to prepare students for the next level, the collegiate level, of their educational journey further understanding the importance of becoming life long learners.
In 2014, Saint Luke School was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School for Academic Excellence!
In 2017, GSL proudly celebrated 70 years of success in Memphis.
2017 - St Luke's School opens its two-story addition.
Abby is looking forward to 2017 Spring Break when she and her department members will travel to Viet Nam to study the culture and history of South East Asia.
2019 - The school opens its renovated playground.
In 2020, St Luke's School fully expanded its student body after a decade of growth.
2020 - The expansion of the student body is completed.
2021 - St Luke's School navigated in-person learning during a global pandemic.
