There are also more than 100 student organizations and cultural arts activities including on-campus festivals and concerts. Admissions requirements include submission of transcripts or GED scores, an essay, letters of recommendation, SAT or ACT scores and a resume outlining extracurricular activities. Many accepted applicants took AP classes in high school. The average SAT scores range from 1600 to 2020. Federal student loans and grants and state grants are awarded to students with a strong financial need. St. Mary's also awards a certain number of academic scholarships. Those who do not qualify for these sources of aid or who still need tuition assistance after their aid is awarded may also apply for private loans and outside scholarships.
