POSITION: In-School Intervention Teacher
NATURE OF WORK:
This is a professional position responsible for the implementation of behavioral interventions and the operation of the in-school intervention centers. The in-school intervention centers are designed to provide behavioral interventions for students' successful participation in the classroom.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Coordinate the in-school intervention centers;
Provide direct behavioral intervention services to students;
Provide direct instruction to assigned students; and
Coordinate behavioral intervention programs within the school.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide instruction using classroom assignments and other instructional resources as appropriate;
Ensure 504s and IEPs are being implemented;
Implement behavioral intervention strategies in the ISI classroom;
Plan and conduct intervention groups, both within the center and the larger school, based on the needs of the students;
Provide or arrange follow-up interventions as appropriate;
Communicate regularly with staff regarding behavior interventions for designated students;
Arrange/participate in conferences with parents/legal guardians as appropriate to collaborate on intervention plans;
Maintain appropriate in-school intervention center order and management;
Facilitate the re-entry of students to their classrooms;
Prepare periodic reports, as well as assist with end of year reports as requested
Other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.

* Must have successfully passed college course/subject area with an "A" or "B".
* Experience in tutoring the following courses: Pre-algebra, Introductory Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Statistics, and English Grammar, and Writing.
* At least 1 year tutoring experience to a diverse population of college students.
