Duties include maintaining cleanliness of warehouse(s) and surrounding areas, including but not limited to, restrooms, donation sorting areas, storage areas and grounds. Responsibilities in the Donation Drop Off area include receive incoming merchandise and food donations, accordingly, sorting and processing them for the appropriate places, foster long-lasting relationship and educate donors regarding our programs and services. We operate in a safety-oriented, faith-based team environment that emphasizes organization, teamwork, compassion, efficiency, and excellent customer service. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Maintain a high level of professionalism, including (but not limited to) safety, courtesy, and positive communication; ensure that other staff members do the same. Must be trustworthy, work well in a team environment, and maintain a neat, professional appearance. The ability to work safely and co-operatively in a variety of situations with a variety of team members is essential. Maintain cleanliness and appearance of warehouse(s), sorting area(s), storage container(s), restroom(s) and other surrounding areas; light grounds keeping may be required. Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the commercial waste receptacle area, including the breaking down of large unsalable items and placing neatly into appropriate receptacles. Responsible for the movement of processed and unprocessed donations and other items between warehouses and storage areas. Required to operate heavy equipment; will be trained and certified as needed. Assist warehouse staff with the loading and unloading of donated items, ensuring that they remain undamaged and are placed in the correct position and location.
