JOB SUMMARY:
The Regional Medical Director reports to the Chief Medical Officer for primary care and is a physician leader who oversees and improves the quality of care, manages medical staff, and develops/implement policies and procedures for a product line or within a primary care setting for a region of clinics (Houston). They also lead in areas like quality improvement, care coordination, and population health management.
The role will be hybrid consisting of clinical medical leadership and direct patient care. Some travel in the market will be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and Management: Supervise medical providers in a region, mentor them, and ensure their priorities align with the organization's. This includes supporting their teams, addressing questions, and communicating updates and business goals.
Quality Improvement: Implement initiatives to improve quality outcomes, monitor quality dashboards, and address gaps in care.
Care Coordination: Develop and implement protocols for seamless transitions of care between primary care and specialists.
Population Health: Develop and implement programs and strategies to improve the health of a specific population, often focusing on chronic conditions and preventative care.
Collaboration: Lead communication with stakeholders, gather input from medical providers, and keep leaders informed about care models and programs.
Physician Leadership Development: Develop leadership skills in providers through mentoring and coaching.
Managed Care: Understand and communicate managed care prospects to medical providers.
Provider Experience: Assist in hiring and retaining providers.
Data Analysis: Use data to drive clinical strategy and program redesign.
Policy Development: Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
Patient Care: Will provide direct care to clinic patients on a part-time basis.
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Active medical license in Texas and ability to obtain additional licenses as required. Board certified or Board eligible preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in primary care, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
Extensive experience in integrated care models, value-based care, and population health management.
Comprehensive knowledge of virtual healthcare delivery systems, telehealth regulations, and digital health technologies.
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse, multi-state workforce.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage diverse stakeholders nationwide.
In-depth knowledge of U.S. healthcare regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
Experience in healthcare clinic or value-based setting.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all procedures, indications, contraindications and hazards involved in respiratory care, as well as knowledge of equipment utilized in their department. The incumbent must be able to demonstrate the ability and knowledge required to utilize computers for patent documentation and data gathering for quality care. Must have demonstrated leadership skills and abilities.
Must have current Respiratory Therapy licensure in the state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. Must have Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials as attained through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and maintain active status according to NBRC credentialing requirements. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Must obtain role specific specialty credential(s) such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), etc. within six months of hire into position and maintain credentials.

The Clinic Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of one or two outpatient medical clinics within a region to ensure efficient patient care delivery, patient engagement, and retention. Take direction from senior management, devise plans, and execute to produce intended results.
Select, train, coach, and motivate the staff. Conduct performance evaluations and direct the workflow for staff assigned to the clinic/center.
Develop goals and performance expectations for staff in targeted areas and provide for their education, development, and shared leadership.
Work collaboratively with other leaders to establish operational effectiveness, productivity, and best practices.
Direct, supervise, and coordinate specific functions and activities of the clinic, including systems, policies, procedures, and human resources support services.
Promote cost-effective, high-quality healthcare services to patients.
Cooperate with medical and administrative staff to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
Review operational problems and policies, recommending solutions and changes to the Medical Director, Regional Manager, or VP of Operations.
Collaborate with Medical Director or Operations Leadership in the preparation and implementation of quarterly budgets, recommending funding based on knowledge of policies, costs, and operating practices.
Represent the clinic at public and professional meetings and conferences.
Participate in clinic communication and public relations programs.
Maintain professional affiliations and enhance professional development to keep pace with trends in healthcare.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a medical clinic/office manager in an outpatient healthcare setting, preferably primary care or urgent care.
