About Children's Community Service Program
Our Children's Services program offers mentalhealth services to school aged youth at home, school, or in their community. Our staff have smaller caseloads, are able to see clients one or more times a week, and have flexible schedules. This helps to ensure that a child's services are not disrupted due to transportation or family scheduling concerns.
What You'll Do
Provide biopsychosocial assessment and case management services as appropriate for children and youth who are ReDiscover clients.
Manage a caseload of 20-25 clients with diverse backgrounds and clinical needs.
Assess children and families accurately and completely using all the diagnostic tools required.
Develop treatment plans that match the needs of the child/family/community and works toward meeting goals of the treatment plan.
Follows through with all tasks and interventions that are identified by all parties involved
Integrates service provision to all parties to address the needs of the client.
Demonstrates clinically sound judgment and seeks appropriate supervision and/or training for difficult or hard to serve clients
Maintains clear concise communication that is timely and accurate with all parties to the service provision.

Requirements of the Position
Availability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of clients enrolled in the program.
Master's or Doctorate Degree in a social science field (as defined by the Department of MentalHealth).
Active provisional licensure in Missouri (PLPC, LMSW, or MFT) preferred.
The ability to work with all persons with multiple challenges (mental illness, substance abuse, physical challenges, developmental disabilities, etc.).
A valid automobile operator's license, vehicle and state minimum require automobile coverage is required.
At least two (2) years clinical experience in a direct service provision to children and adolescents in a mentalhealth setting preferred.
Knowledge of the community resources as well as health and social service systems in the Kansas City metro area and skill in establishing working relationships with community partners preferred.

Job Summary:
The Behavioral Interventionist (BI) works one-on-one in the home and/or community with youth who struggle with behavioral management to the degree it threatens the stability of their living situation. The families in this program have varying levels of communication, parenting, organizational, and cleanliness skill sets. Our job is to work with all families, regardless of skill levels displayed. It is the expectation that the assigned BI continue the case assignment, regardless of family dynamics or home conditions.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Provide one-on-one services to clients enrolled in the Behavioral Interventionist program, following requirements and policies of agency, contracts, state regulations and COA standards at all times.
• Maintain strong, open communication with supervisors, caregivers of clients to ensure service efficacy and approval of agenda and activities during shifts. Adhere to family routines and structure, as established.
• Provide direct supervision to client at all times and assist clients through completion of daily responsibilities, activities, and living skills with direction, coaching, and approved intervention strategies at all times.
• Actively and regularly engage with client by using approved Bruce Perry trauma-informed brain stimulating activities.
• Adhere to the goals established in the Individualized Behavioral Objective Plan to help youth work toward and achieve treatment goals.
• Model positive behavior and effective problem-solving techniques, and model ethical and professional behavior at all times.
• Complete all shift documentation the same day of a shift worked.
• Participate as an active team member by attending and participating in all scheduled staff meetings and professional development trainings and supervisions

• Maintain First Aid/CPR Certification/CPI Certification
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Essential Job Functions
Possess critical thinking skills to be strength focused, but also have the ability to identify areas of concern in order to help families to develop SMART goals, find solutions and work toward self-sufficiency.
Work closely with FTC personnel to obtain referrals and make initial contact to potential client within 7 days after receiving the referral.
Conduct initial assessment, develop a service plan that is culturally sensitive and promotes self-determination for the family. Goals will be re-evaluated routinely and adjusted as appropriate.
Demonstrate knowledge of local resources and network opportunities and possess a willingness to collaborate with these agencies and individuals.

Provide TBRI theory and application of skills to improve communication and relationships within families.

Requirements
Required - Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or closely related human services discipline. Preferred -Master's degree in social work or closely related field or currently enrolled in social work program.
A minimum of 1yr. experience working with children and their families.
A thorough understanding of the child welfare system.
Excellent written and verbal communication and comprehension.
Complete and thorough knowledge of a variety of computer systems and programs as well as Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Office and Power Point.
Excellent conflict resolution competencies.
Above average ability to teach concepts of TBRI and other skills to clients in a straightforward fashion.

Responsibilities: The CSS will be a part of Missouri's statewide Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR) system playing a vital role in connecting families, child care providers, and community members with the information and support they need. The CSS is responsible for answering incoming calls related to:
