Examples of typical responsibilities include: * Caring for intrapartum patients at the free-standing Mary V. Our Birth Center is equipped with tubs for hydrotherapy, intermittent auscultation, various tools for comfort measures, and supportive collaborative physician backup. About the Department of Medical Genetics and Genomic Medicine: The Department has been designated by the New Jersey State Department of Health as central Jersey's Regional Center for Newborn Screening and General Genetic Services and houses one of the largest comprehensive Lysosomal Disease Therapy Centers in the United States. Requirements: * Graduate of an AMA-approved one (1) year Program in Respiratory Therapy. * Licensed by the State of New Jersey Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). * Demonstrated competency in all procedures within scope of practice, as appropriate to the ages of the patients served; the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs; a knowledge of growth and development and an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients. * Demonstrated competency in the care and treatment of the following age groups: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric. * BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association. * Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) obtained within 30 days of start date. * Registered Respiratory Care Practitioners trained and assigned to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on a regular basis is required to obtain the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
