The Development Services Associate supports the fundraising efforts of the ministries of the SCHS by carrying out Development Services projects and processes as assigned by the Fundraising Database Services Manager (FDSM), with primary focus on the Raiser's Edge fundraising database and other Blackbaud platforms.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as data entry and gift acknowledgment lead for the SCHS Fund Development team.
* Maintain payroll deduction and recurring gift records and processes in Raiser's Edge, including data entry, payment initiation and acknowledgment. Serve as primary liaison with Human Resources for employee payroll deduction giving.
* Generate monthly pledge maintenance reports and reminder letters.
* Provide administrative support to the Senior Vice President including scheduling, travel arrangements, coordinating internal department meetings and agendas, and expense monitoring, among other tasks.
* Assist the FDSM with production and distribution of scheduled reports including monthly dashboard reports of overall fundraising achievement for all SCHS ministries
* Serve as facilitator of monthly SCHS fundraising team meetings and distributor of materials for team meetings
* Assist the FDSM and other users with implementation and maintenance of Blackbaud online giving, event registration and email tools for all SCHS ministries.
* Assist the FDSM with maintaining key intra-departmental processes such as reconciliation, with leveraging available technical assets for data-driven fundraising, and with maximizing the efficiency, precision and fundraising value of all processes.
* Assist users of SCHS fundraising data solutions and collaboration tools with basic tasks such as gift batch submission, constituent record review and accessing basic reports and lists.
* Serve as lead data quality monitor of moves management and grant seeking activity for all SCHS ministries. Regularly review all Raiser's Edge moves management and grant seeking activity records for compliance with conventions and expectations. Proactively support gift officers and grant writers to facilitate accurate, timely and complete recording of moves management and grant seeking activity.
* Participate in development and revision of all donor database conventions and processes. Implement convention and process changes as directed. Monitor convention compliance and effectiveness.
* Perform/assist with data import, update and extraction projects as assigned.
* Help plan and staff fundraising events for Cleveland-area SCHS ministries.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred
* Previous experience in an office environment preferred
* Previous data entry/management experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Familiarity with Raiser's Edge or comparable fundraising CRM database preferred
* Expertise in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel. Familiarity with mail merge preferred

* Summons the support of outside police agencies as needed and serves as point of contact
* Notifies the appropriate individuals about incidents as they occur
