Ensures follow-up and documentation of significant variances are completed. + Implements and maintains internal financial controls and procedures. + Assists in coordinating compliance audits and reviews compliance criteria. + Responsible for Labor & Leave setup and maintenance in enterprise financial management system. + Responsible for various advanced special projects as assigned by Accounting management. + Conducts special studies and performs in-depth analysis of financial reports and records. + Verifies the accuracy of accounting/financial data and investigates discrepancies. + May field calls from executive leadership team, both internally and externally, to answer questions and provide necessary feedback. + Responsible for presenting findings and initiatives to executive leadership team. + Assists with both internal and external audits as necessary. Assembles requested materials. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting + Certified Public Accountants License preferred. + 5-10 years of experience in Accounting. **Other Job Specific Skills** + Advanced understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Cost Accounting Standards, and the Federal Acquisition Regulations. + Prior experience with financial reporting. + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. + Advanced understanding of revenue recognition. + Experience utilizing Costpoint, Cognos, and Time & Expense. + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. + Strong ability to work well with a team and independently without supervision. + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. + Demonstrates the ability to think quickly and be proactive. **Compensation Ranges** Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience.
