Key Responsibilities Accounting Operations & Consolidation Lead all accounting functions across multiple state entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Oversee the month‑end and year‑end close processes, consolidations, and intercompany eliminations. Implement standardized accounting practices and controls across entities to ensure consistency and integrity of reporting. Technical Accounting & Compliance Maintain full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax, audit, and reporting requirements. Prepare and support external audits, ensuring proper documentation and timely responses. Provide technical accounting guidance for new transactions and business activities (e.g., revenue recognition, lease accounting, capitalization, etc.). Team Leadership & Development Lead and develop regional accounting teams (10+ people), providing mentorship and technical guidance. Build a culture of ownership, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the accounting function. Systems, Processes & Controls Strengthen the internal control environment, ensuring effective segregation of duties and risk mitigation. Financial Reporting & Insights Deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior leadership. Translate accounting results into actionable insights for the CFO and executive team. Support management reporting, board presentations, and key financial analyses. CPA required or in the final stages of certification. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred). 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi‑entity or multi‑state operations. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and audit procedures. Hands‑on experience with accounting systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
