SUMMARY: The Customer Engineering Specialist will be responsible for assisting Customer Engineering and the Sales Team in finding the correct solutions for projects and roll outs we are working on. This position will also be responsible for developing drawings, fixture schedules, submittal packages, pricing, etc. for multiple projects being worked on within the organization. This position must conform to all corporate policies and procedures and uphold ethical standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in understanding client requirements and preparing competitive quotations and bids that meet expectations.
Review bid materials and provide alternate recommendations to align with customers' budgetary needs.
Support internal teams with accurate and timely development of program scope and pricing.
Communicate professionally with customers, responding promptly to inquiries and providing support throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with lighting manufacturers and labor partners.
Negotiate pricing and availability with vendors under supervision.
Learn to solution lighting and controls systems, including emergency lighting, in compliance with local codes and life safety requirements.
Use tools such as AutoCAD, DIALux, AGI32, and other software to support project designs from concept to completion.
Maintain knowledge of lighting and controls products, including major product lines, and their applications.
Assist with on-site audits and help execute seamless audit plans.
Utilize platforms such as Excel, audit applications, and the company's account management system to support project management.
Ensure that projects meet quality standards and adhere to local code requirements.
Support the Sales Team by providing information on lighting and controls products and assisting with customer presentations.
Research and evaluate lighting and controls products, sharing findings with internal teams, leadership, and customers as needed.
Participate in educational workshops, review professional publications, and engage in networking opportunities to enhance technical knowledge.
Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Education and Certifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree.
Professional Lighting Certification preferred (LC, CLCP).
Required Qualifications:
Ability to maintain a professional presence with all vendors, customers, colleagues, and management.
Customer service focus with the ability to respond to requests in a timely manner.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with several competing priorities as part of a team.

Our Plant Support Engineering group is staffed with experienced engineers across a range of mechanical, civil, electrical, and I&C disciplines, and generally serves as the initial point of contact for all emergent and near-term engineering support.
The Plant Support Engineer for our electrical engineering team supports a broad range of distribution systems, including 24VDC - 240VDC, 120VAC to 345kVAC, and supported loads. Familiarity with relay protection, motors, and generators is desirable. The position provides for complex troubleshooting, equipment condition assessment as well as support for minor design changes.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities
Protect work week schedule by supporting resolution of emergent, short cycle, and near-term engineering work
Engineering point of contact for execution of online work week schedule and resolution of online Engineering Holds
Engineering support of Operability process (Input to Operability, Follow-up Operability Evaluations)
Engineering post work testing
Engineering technical support for PROMPT Team Maintenance
Engineering technical support for resolving operating challenges
Planning support for emergent questions and assistance to ināfield activities
Emergent complex troubleshooting support (FMEA, Confirm/Refute, etc).
Prepare Minor Design Modifications
Identifies and performs tasks as required to meet objectives
Lead interpretation and analysis of complex issues
Coordinates assigned projects, studies and initiatives through completion
Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Prepare and present reports including recommendations to resolve complex issues
Participate in and on occasion lead special project and committees
Lead complex problem-solving efforts
Electrical specific tasks such as protective device sizing, cable sizing, and motor sizing / analysis.,
All other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience & Skills Requirements
4 yrs Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or related field
At least 2 yrs related job experience preferred
Prior experience in the nuclear industry favorable
Proficient computer skills in standard Windows programs (Excel, Word, etc)
Teamwork and collaboration skills across organizational boundaries
Able to communicate complex issues effectively through written and verbal communication
Able to influence by establishing effective working relationships across organizational boundaries
In-depth understanding of power plant equipment and systems
Able to evaluate technical alternatives in light of their economic contribution to the business
Able to apply systematic problem-solving processes to address complex issues

Work Environment
Occasionally long, irregular hours including work in excess of 12-hour days for extended periods
