Staff Design Quality Engineer (Smith & Nephew, Inc., Andover, MA): Support new product development to deliver safe and effective products to the market. Ensure all aspects of design controls are robust and comply with company policies and governmental regulations. Conduct key design control deliverable which include, but are not limited to: risk management, product performance analysis on similar products, design verification and validation, human factors testing, design transfer to manufacturing (including inspection methods, process qualification, design for manufacturability, etc), DHF tracking and completion, and product release authorization for distribution. Compile and present the quality data to key stakeholders/leadership during technical design reviews. Assist with the preparation for regulatory submissions and support sustaining quality with defending design control elements during internal and external audits. Provide training, support and mentorship to more junior engineers within the quality engineering organization. Lead or assist in process improvement and CAPA, utilizing tools such as six sigma or lean manufacturing. Researches and provides insight into current trends in design control and risk management, following new standards and regulations. Lead design control gap assessments and remediation as required.
Minimum Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a technically related field plus 6 years of post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related role in quality-engineering in a senior position, OR a Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a technically related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or related role in quality-engineering in a senior position.

Of the required experience, must have 6 years of experience if qualifying with a bachelor's degree, or 3 years of experience if qualifying with a master's degree, in each of the following:

* Design verification and validation
* Medical device design controls
* Quality systems both FDA QSR and ISO 13485
* Medical device risk management (ISO 14971)
* Medical device manufacturing.

Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time.

Agency Design, a part of Visa's Global Product Design organization, is looking for a client -facing Staff Designer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on strategic design for products and services to create high-impact deliverables and lead engagements that help our clients drive their businesses forward. The Senior Staff Designer is a highly experienced individual contributor responsible for developing well-researched understandings of emerging digital payment trends and leveraging that knowledge to help our clients understand Visa's unique position within the fast-moving global commerce landscape.

The Staff Designer will conceptualize, co-create, design and present engaging experiences, effectively collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams-Product, Business Development & Strategy, Data & Analytics-to deliver value for our clients. A passion for using design to solve problems and seasoned presentation skills are a must. The candidate should have deep consultative design strategy experience and the ability to speak with fluency to product management, consulting, marketing and analytics partners alike. We prefer candidates be located in one of our Agency Design hubs-San Francisco or New York City.
Role responsibilities include

Support creating and scaling experiences and engagements with a primary focus on the development of products and services for Visa's clients

Develop a deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, commerce trends, Visa's Agency/Innovation practice and Visa capabilities in order to effectively communicate to clients and partners

Research emerging areas of opportunity (using quantitative and qualitative techniques) and transform insights into compelling storytelling, experience design and presentations for client engagements (including videos, physical installations, etc.)

Lead Client Discovery Sessions in collaboration with Business and Product peers as assigned, including facilitating client ideation and alignment to drive actionable outcomes

Collaborate with peers at Visa's other Global Innovation Centers to standardize engagement models, share our practice's approach and train others on the how and why behind our work

Establish design sprint and collaboration frameworks, co-creation tools and asset libraries, as well as incorporating design systems, that will ultimately power the work of our practice

Participate in the development of new business initiatives and offerings for the Agency/Innovation group in North America

Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff

Support the Innovation & Design business as required, including but not limited to RFPs, supplier relationships, design briefs, Global Design initiatives, etc.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
