About the Role: The Project Engineer will be responsible for coordinating with individuals, managing engineering firms, and following processes and standards to ensure the Company achieves reliable, quality, and safe designs. This person will be responsible for facilitating the design process from conceptual through IFC design. They will be responsible for managing 3rd party engineering firms, working with CSI internal engineering resources, and being the project lead in all aspects of project design. About You: Qualifications BS in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering. Minimum of three years in the solar + BESS EPC, with a strong knowledge of construction sequencing, construction methods, and materials practices, including knowledge of electrical systems. OSHA 30 certification desired, but not mandatory. Registered Professional Engineer (PE) status or qualified to take test desired, but not mandatory. Develop, update and monitor job progress using QMS program, including scheduling, estimating and budgeting to ensure that construction of project parallels with schedule. Perform quantity take off(s), cost estimates and bid solicitation. Provide research options and regulation information as required. Purchase and coordinate the delivery of certain materials for the project(s) ensuring optimum prices, quality and conformance to specifications and budget. Reviews and approves invoices and change orders. Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors for specific trades ensuring that all scope is encompassed. Review vendor and subcontractor shop drawing submittals for construction as directed by the supervisor. Relocate to specific job sites (if required) in order to become familiar with procurement and construction practices. Attend weekly job site meetings. Assist in the preparation of various reports to assist in the successful management of the project(s), such as: monthly red files, progress analysis/schedules, billings and status reports. Assist in the organization and maintenance of job files to ensure continuity of work flow. Submit verbal and written reports on project status to supervisor. Communicate effectively with customer, direct consultants and subcontractors on the project(s). Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray's safety program on site. Descent Systems Engineer: In Orbit is looking for a Descent Systems Engineer eager to join a diverse and dynamic team developing solutions for cargo delivery where traditional aircraft and drones fail. As a Descent Systems Engineer at In Orbit you will work on the design, development, and testing of advanced parachutes and decelerator systems. You will work with other engineers on integrating decelerator subsystems into the vehicle. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience manufacturing and testing parachute systems, a solid foundation of aerodynamic and mechanical design principles as well as flight testing experience. Responsibilities: Lead the development of parafoils, reefing systems, and other decelerator components. Develop fabrication and manufacturing processes including material selection, patterning, sewing, rigging, and hardware integration. Plan and conduct flight tests including drop tests, high-altitude balloon tests, and other captive-carry deployments. Support the development of test plans, procedures, and instrumentation requirements to verify system performance. Collaborate closely with mechanical, avionics, and software teams for vehicle-level integrations Own documentation and configuration management for parachute assemblies, manufacturing specifications, and test reports. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree level of education in Aerospace Engineering or similar curriculum. Strong understanding of aerodynamics, drag modeling, reefing techniques, and dynamic behaviors of decelerators Experience with reefing line cutting systems or multi-stage deployment mechanisms Experience conducting ground and flight tests for decelerator systems, including test planning, instrument integration, data analysis, and anomaly investigation. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Engineer-Healthcare located in Carlsbad, CA. The successful candidate will assist in managing construction projects, including project planning, scheduling, and coordinating resources. Day-to-day tasks include revising project plans, performing engineering tasks, preparing technical submittals, ensuring effective communication among stakeholders, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The Project Engineer will collaborate with the project management team to execute construction tasks efficiently and with minimal disruptions to operations. Responsibilities Use effective verbal and written communication acting as the liaison between the owner/client, architect and consultants as well the project team in all phases of the work. Assist in the preparation of estimating bids, subcontracts including development of drawing lists, scopes of work and schedules. Employ Project Management Systems to manage and control the estimating/bid processes and project documentation work including change orders, subcontractor claims, purchase orders, submittals, and shop drawings. Keep organized files of all documents. Review and process shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with the construction documents. Participate in the monitoring and preparation of RFI logs, submittal logs, subcontractor status report, testing and inspection reports, safety inspections and reports, change order logs and other related reports for use by the Project Manager and Superintendent. Issue updated logs to the Superintendents on a weekly basis. Assist in the preparation, monitoring and updating of the estimating/bid process and project schedule. Help coordinate the schedules with the Superintendent's “3 week look ahead” schedules. Establish material delivery schedules/logs from the submittal logs and assist in their integration into the project schedule. Review RFIs for accuracy, references and detail including interpretation of drawings and specifications as it relates to the RFI. Keep record drawings updated and RFIs posted. Insure that As-built drawings are kept up to date and in order. Technical Skills Strong skills in Project Engineering and Project Planning Ability to recognize problems and produce workable alternative solutions. Proactively solves problems.
