The Senior Directory Services Engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, and operational leadership of enterprise directory services. This position combines advanced technical expertise with strategic oversight to ensure the stability, scalability, and security of directory platforms across multiple environments and entities. The role requires deep knowledge of Active Directory and other directory platforms, strong problem-solving skills, and proven experience leading technical initiatives and projects involving complex efforts such as multi-forest management, M&A integrations, hybrid cloud adoption, modernization of legacy environments, and decommissioning of outdated infrastructure. The senior engineer acts as a subject matter expert and technical leader within the Identity and Access Management function.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Owns the engineering, design, and lifecycle management of directory services platforms including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and other cloud-based directory platforms, across multiple environments and entities, along with supporting technologies (Sites and Services, Group Policy, PKI).
+ Manages multi-forest architectures and cross-entity trust relationships to ensure seamless authentication and authorization across organizations, including integration of directory services during mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on coexistence, migration planning, post-migration stabilization, decommissioning, and documentation and knowledge transfer to ensure continuity and support.
+ Provides leadership in establishing technical standards, architectural roadmaps, and operational best practices for directory services, including ongoing system health monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning.
+ Leads resolution of complex or escalated issues related to authentication, replication, trusts, or integration with enterprise systems.
+ Partners with networking and security teams to ensure directory services align with security, compliance, and business requirements.
+ Develops and maintains automation for provisioning, monitoring, reporting, and validation to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
+ Guides and mentors junior engineers with a focus on technical guidance and serves as an escalation point for directory-related support.
+ Participates in planning and execution of strategic initiatives such as forest/domain redesign, modernization of legacy domain functional levels, hybrid cloud identity adoption, and cross-platform integrations.

Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Engineer assists the Project Manager/ Executive by tracking and maintaining records that are associated with submittals, costs, deliveries and payroll at the job site. The Project Engineer is also responsible for tracking and maintaining all safety communications, manuals and records.
Safety:
Prepare and give weekly Toolbox Talks, Daily Safety Huddles and maintain records.
Maintain a file for One Call Center requests to ensure no utilities are damaged during construction activities.
Maintain a retrievable filing system for the Hazardous Communication Program - MSDS.
Maintain the Project Safety Manual, make periodic jobsite safety inspections and record/file all findings.
Maintain records of site safety inspections and track all injuries that occurred on the project.
Payments:
Perform daily quantity review with Superintendent and Job Foreman.
Enter daily quantities into system and file daily sheets.
Track completion of work on project plans.
Perform monthly review of estimates with job Superintendent/ Project Manager.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Engineer assists the Project Manager/ Executive by tracking and maintaining records that are associated with submittals, costs, deliveries and payroll at the job site. The Project Engineer is also responsible for tracking and maintaining all safety communications, manuals and records.
Safety:
Prepare and give weekly Toolbox Talks, Daily Safety Huddles and maintain records.
Maintain a file for One Call Center requests to ensure no utilities are damaged during construction activities.
Maintain a retrievable filing system for the Hazardous Communication Program - MSDS.
Maintain the Project Safety Manual, make periodic jobsite safety inspections and record/file all findings.

Project Overview:
Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas. RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Job Summary:
In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. #LI-BH1
Major Responsibilities:
Work Planning & Packaging
* Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
* Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities and ensures preparation of "as built" drawings and other job plans.
Material Management
* Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
* Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
Quantities
* Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
Safety / Quality Control
* Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Technical
* Proactively considers continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities
System Turnover Coordinator
For Direct Hire:
* Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
STR / Subcontract Coordinator
* Reviews and approves inspection test plans
* Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals
Education and Experience Requirements:
* Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
* Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation.
* Knowledge of Bechtel's Zero Accident Philosophy.
* Knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisors ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes.
* Knowledge of the Six Sigma program tools and methodologies.
* Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities.
* Knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPPs).
* Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards.
* Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
* Knowledge of the use of subcontracts, and the contractor and subcontractor's responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
* Experience working with, supervising and administering subcontractors and/or Direct Hire workforce.
* Knowledge is normally acquired through: A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, or Specialized courses in construction technology and management, and/or Prior practical work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above
Additional Information: Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
