Essential Functions:
Product designer for major Pre Product Innovation (PPI), New Product Innovation (NPI), and Continuous Product Innovation (CPI) development projects.

Lead, participate in or support the following product development activities:
Concept, planning, design and execution stages of major new products or product enhancements

Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related.
5-7 years minimum experience in the design and development of manufactured products
Experience working in cross-disciplinary teams.
Experience with roll formed and stamped thin gauge steel and molded/extruded plastic and rubber component design
AutoCAD Inventor, Solid Works experience
Experience with rapid prototype design and build for proof of concept and usability testing a plus.

Strong mechanical aptitude or interests

Familiar with mechanical components (pumps, valves, piping, flanges, etc.)
Capable of handling multiple ongoing projects simultaneously

Experience:
3+ years of experience working in an engineering or technical role
S. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering
Water treatment experience preferred but not required
Job Responsibilities:
Work with business developers, engineers, and shop personnel to develop preliminary equipment design plans and cost estimates for new products or refurbished equipment projects
Design systems and size components; develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
Work with CAD designers to produce detailed engineering drawings
Specify and work with purchasing to procure system components
Prepare and oversee project documentation including drawings, spec sheets, O&M manuals, and validation documents
Attend and support system start-ups, includes onsite operation, testing and troubleshooting of newly installed equipment
Support with sales strategy, generate technical brochures, presentations and any other supporting documents needed for new project opportunities
