This position is familiar with multiple product lines but may focus on one product line to develop product expertise and works independent with some supervision of work. Has successfully managed some medium specification projects that shipped and/or made some sales calls or presentations independently. Can quote and handle Service related issues. Level II: Service - Coordinating "production" with problem solving and prevention
1. Resource management (material and people)
a. Communicates with shop staff, QA/QC inspectors, and engineeringstaff on a daily basis.
b. Interacts with customers to deliver first time quality.
c. Engages leadership team in setting and achieving goals. This includes working with key leadership both functionally and strategically to drive overall improvements inside and outside of engineering.
d. Plays an active role in product design/development including review of technical details, design for manufacture (cost effective and manufacturing process compliant) and design for test (efficient manufacturing test ensuring product quality).
2. Resource scheduling, output management and reporting
a. Ensure open communication throughout the organization by keeping management informed of Project status and ensuring coordination of Lean activities.
b. Create metrics, deployment goals, and objectives to drive accountability throughout the project team.
c. Organizes, plans, reviews, and provides status of projects managed.

**Roles and Responsibilities:**
+ Contribute to the hardware development of industrial-grade communications equipment by applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering, circuit design, and analysis.
+ Complete the analysis and design of digital and mixed-signal communications circuitry including MCU, CPU, flash, Ethernet, and USB considering EMC, thermal, mechanical, and electrical safety constraints.
+ Complete schematic and PCB layouts containing digital, analog, and RF circuitry.
+ Create new components and maintain component database.
+ Create production documentation including top level bills of material and label specifications.
+ Perform sustaining engineer activities for legacy products by mitigating component shortages through qualifying alternatives or redesigning circuits and sub-assemblies to address obsolescence.
+ Distill product requirements into technical requirements, estimate scope of work, and develop hardware concept designs as required to meet project deadlines.
+ Work onsite with a team of Electrical and Embedded Firmware Engineers in an office/lab environment.
+ Perform and document the results of circuit level validation testing.
+ Ensure compliance to product safety, emissions, and performance standards supporting 3rd party certification labs as needed.

**Required Qualifications:**
