Position Overview
Plant Engineering is the department within Lincoln Electric which is responsible for designing, maintaining, improving, and supporting the equipment, manufacturing processes, and plant-wide infrastructure. Past Engineers have worked to create the operations as we know it today.
As a Facilities Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and executing projects across our manufacturing facilities in the Cleveland and Mentor areas. Your focus will be on identifying and solving technical challenges while ensuring that all equipment and processes align with the organization's safety, health, quality, and productivity standards. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate in a team environment to execute capital projects for manufacturing facilities in the Cleveland and Mentor areas.
Take responsibility for the mechanical aspects of projects, which may include design, documentation, equipment installation, project management, and support.
Develop engineering solutions to improve equipment reliability and safety, reduce operating and maintenance costs, and effectively manage outage risks.
Create and maintain sustainable documentation for use by engineering and maintenance teams.
Design solutions that comply with ISO 14001 and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives to enhance environmental and employee health and safety standards.
Provide capital cost estimates and establish project timelines to ensure successful completion of project work.
Specify and solicit equipment quotations to confirm compliance with desired specifications.
Deliver technical support to the Production and Maintenance departments.
Coordinate and interface with process engineering, production, maintenance, and supply management teams.
Work closely with and often manage outside engineering and construction personnel.

Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Level II Engineer 3+ years of hands-on, mechanical engineering experience.

Submit quote to customer in conjunction with the H&S sales team.
Assist with overall workload within Applications Engineering to meet customer needs and department schedules.
Qualification and Experience
B.S. Mechanical Engineering or B.S.M.E.T. or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge/experience with metal machining and manufacturing processes.
Experience in the mechanical drive/power transmission industry preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Computer literate with MS Office applications; design experience with Solid Works a plus.
Superior time management skills; capable of handling multiple priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills.

In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience in site design, including grading, utilities, parking lots, roadways, and stormwater management. Responsibilities
What you'll do:
Collaborate with Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Team Leaders on a variety of exciting land development projects-including industrial, residential, mixed-use, urban redevelopment, and affordable housing
Get hands-on experience in drafting, plan production, field inspections, design coordination, and cost estimation
Use tools like AutoCAD and HydroCAD to support real-world design and stormwater management solutions
Assist with engineering tasks such as performing calculations, preparing permit applications, writing technical specs, and creating exhibits and presentation materials
Take on a variety of project-related tasks, giving you broad exposure to how land development projects move from concept to construction
