Here, you will make an impact by: + Develop and implement improvements related to safety, quality, service, and productivity. + Work closely with production and maintenance teams to perform troubleshooting activities and resolve equipment/downtime issues. + Identify improvement opportunities requiring capital expenditure; establish justification and manage projects to completion. + Actively participate in the day-to-day operations, EHS activities, MOC process change management, OEE analysis, and resolution of gaps in performance + Initiate and lead Continuous Improvement projects. Use project management tools to convey objectives, timelines, obstacles, and next steps. + Effectively troubleshoot defects and variation, perform root cause analysis, and apply problem solving skills. + Develop process standards and other documentation supporting the operation. + Provide engineering support for assigned areas including occasional availability on nights/weekends. **Your Skills and Expertise** To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: + Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution. + Two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment in aprivate, public, government or military environment **.** Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: + Experience in a Manufacturing Engineer role (specifically with process equipment). + Experience leading multi-functional teams through complex projects from planning to completion. + Experience developing and managing capital budgets and project completion within time and cost projections. + Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
