Position Summary
The role of the Staff Engineer is to produce plans and specifications on assigned tasks/portions of projects. The engineer will be technically involved in the resolution of design problems which may include, detailed design work, general coordination of specific designs, and performing field investigation or inspections. The Staff Engineer will be responsible for meeting schedules on assigned tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation and modification of plans, specifications, reports, construction schedules, permits, and designs for projects.
* Developing skills in specialized design software relevant to site development.
* Developing design skills in all areas relevant to site development
* Site visits to reviews construction progress and other assigned duties per the contract documents
* Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations.
* Meets schedules on assigned tasks
* Assist with the coordination of sub-consultant activities.
* Follows company policies and procedures
* Performs other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
* BS degree in Civil Engineering
* 1+ years experience
* EIT preferred
* Proficient with MS-Office
* AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred
