What You'll Do
As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you'll play a central role in shaping our embedded firmware, driving development efforts, and ensuring exceptional product performance. You'll be instrumental in both launching new products and supporting those already in production. Your key responsibilities will include:
End-to-End Firmware Ownership: Lead all phases of the firmware lifecycle-from initial concept and design through implementation, validation, and long-term sustaining efforts across multiple products. Take point on product support and sustaining engineering activities.
Advanced Testing & Validation: Plan and perform thorough product and design verification to ensure every solution meets our quality and performance standards.
Strategic Test Planning: Develop comprehensive product test plans and guide their successful execution during production.
High-Quality Documentation: Produce clear, detailed work instructions and process documentation. Prepare and finalize release materials for the hardware elements of our products.
Continuous Product Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancement and execute engineering change requests to keep our offerings innovative and competitive.
Design Leadership: Contribute to the architecture and design of critical system components, ensuring they meet technical and quality expectations.
Project Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments. Serve as a technical lead, driving projects toward successful, on-time delivery.
Mentorship & Team Development: Support the growth of junior engineers through coaching, guidance, and knowledge sharing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
7+ years of related experience
BS Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or CS/Software/Firmware Engineering.
Proven experience in project management and full ownership of the firmware development lifecycle (planning, execution, release, and sustaining activities across multiple products)
Proficiency in C or C++ programming languages (either/or)
Foundational knowledge in embedded firmware, including memory management, data structures, algorithms, and networking
Experience in real-time operating systems (FreeRTOS preferred, others are okay)
Experience with debugging tools
Experience in low-level power
Familiarity with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, or others; as well as knowledge of hardware interfaces.

The Field Applications Engineer (Fluid Dispensing) is the customer-facing engineer for demos, system buyoffs, system/process development, and troubleshooting.
