About the Job:
The Project Engineer will support the project team throughout the entire construction process, from pre-construction to closeout. Responsibilities include planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction activities for large projects.
Responsibilities:

Position Description:
Our Client Chassis Design is seeking a motivated and collaborative engineer to work on various chassis functions for both development projects and production vehicles. Client Chassis design division is responsible for suspension/axle, frame, tire/wheel, shifter, steering wheel, steering system, brake system and controls. A chassis design team member typically has an opportunity to work on a variety of chassis systems over time.
We have current opportunities to work in the Body-on-Frame truck group. The position will report to the Sr Manager of the group.
What you'll be doing
Develop chassis components of Truck and SUV models, focusing on the following:
Create and manage 3D data, technical documentation, drawings, and parts lists based on vehicle change points or external group requests
Perform regulation and certification confirmation activities
Lead communication between design, supplier, and project management teams as needed
Monitor North America field issues and warranty condition for chassis components, including completing root cause investigations as needed.
Support benchmarking and study of cost reduction proposals with suppliers and make proposals for implementation
Requirements:
What you bring
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
Excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills
5 years or more as a Mechanical engineer or equivalent
Experience in CATIA
Must be able to work up to 20% OT at various times
Must be able to work M-Thur in the office
