American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level II trauma and multi-specialty surgical experience for a day shift position with on-call requirements.
Responsibilities
Position located in the Operating Room of a short-term acute care Level II Trauma Center
Handles a high-acuity surgical caseload with 60-70 cases per day across ortho, neuro, general, trauma, vascular, endovascular/hybrid, GYN/Uro, ENT/plastics, eyes, and robotics
1:1 RN-patient ratio in the OR
Uses advanced equipment including DaVinci Xi Robots, Doppler, Ultrasound, Neptune, Aquamantis, various video and laser systems, Hana and Jackson tables, neuro beds with attachments, and cryoablation devices
Epic EMR system is used with 1 year of recent Epic experience required
Works three 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 to 19:15 with every other weekend required
Up to four 8-hour on-call shifts per four-week cycle
Perform high-acuity surgical nursing duties, ensuring safe and effective care for a diverse patient population
Onboarding orientation is held bi-weekly on Mondays
Scrub attire is provided in the OR
Free parking is available onsite
No floating outside the operating room required
Time off is considered on a case-by-case basis with no standard restrictions
Must be fully vaccinated per facility policy
Requirements
Active RN license in Operating Room nursing (pending license accepted with proof of application)
Current BLS certification required, ACLS and PALS strongly preferred
At least 2 years of Level I or II trauma OR experience in ortho (including total joints) and neuro (including cranial cases), with broad experience across all major surgical specialties
Must be comfortable working in a Level II Trauma Center environment
Minimum of 1 year of recent Epic EMR experience
First-time travelers will not be considered

Role Description
The RN Clinical Supervisor is responsible for implementation of standard clinical processes as well as ongoing supervision of all non-imaging clinical staff at this location. Monitors clinic flow to improve efficiencies and productivity
Utilizes Optum Medical Group's resources to implement standard work processes
Covers back office staff in the event of a call-out orstaff shortage
Works with directors and staff to ensure availability of adequate resources, supplies, equipment and services
Tracks and reports Daily Management System metrics
Participates in interviewing, hiring and managing clinical staff in conjunction with the Director of Imaging or Clinic Manager
Communicates performance expectations, providing regular feedback and consistently managing these expectations
Completes performance appraisals, promoting staff development activities, utilizing performance improvement procedures as necessary, and adhering to the company policies and procedures
Participates in work groups as appropriate
Ensures timely and accurate documentation in the patient record and input of data into outcomes database
Monitors patient, referring physician and customer satisfaction
Builds and develops effective working relationships with physicians, APC's, clinical and support staff

No floating outside the OR
Provide perioperative nursing care for a diverse and high-acuity surgical caseload
Participate in bi-weekly orientation sessions held on Mondays
Scrubs are provided within the OR
Free parking is available on site
RTO requests are reviewed on a case by case basis
Open to considering block scheduling, subject to department approval
Requirements
Active RN license required; pending license considered with proof of application
Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS strongly preferred
