The Registered Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care in a high-volume orthopaedic clinic, supporting the surgeon and ensuring seamless patient flow. This role involves patient assessment, documentation, coordination of care, and adherence to nursing standards and organizational policies. Responsibilities Support a busy ortho practice; assist provider with exams, procedures, and treatments. Obtain and document comprehensive nursing histories and perform focused assessments. Record and monitor vital signs; identify abnormal findings and communicate results promptly. Prepare patients and exam rooms; maintain supplies and equipment readiness. Provide patient education, triage, and consults according to established protocols. Coordinate surgery scheduling and post-operative care as needed. Apply and remove casts and splints under provider direction. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team to achieve care goals. Document care accurately and evaluate patient progress. Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain clinical competencies. Education & Experience Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin. Minimum of 6 months of recent RN experience (2+ years preferred).
