Job Overview: The Trinitas nursing float pool provides extraordinary care to patients across all populations, including Med/Surg 38 bed unit, Telemetry 38 bed unit and Oncology 22 bed unit. We provide management of acutely ill patients with lift-threatening conditions requiring complex assessment, high- intensity therapies and interventions, and continuous nursing vigilance. Our care management consists of care bundles based on evidence based practices that are executed with compassion and caring. The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports the philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities. Qualifications: Active New Jersey RN License or approved RN license required ASN or BSN required AHA BLS prior to start date required Previous Critical Care or Telemetry experience preferred Scheduling Requirements: Night, 7:00PM - 7:30AM Every other weekend required.
