Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Algorithm / SoftwareEngineer to help design, build, and scale FreightWise's transportation planning and execution systems. This role is central to developing advanced optimization solutions that power real-time freight execution, including load routing and sequencing, capacity planning, tendering workflows, and decision support.
The ideal candidate combines production-grade softwareengineering expertise with hands-on transportation and logistics experience, enabling them to translate complex real-world constraints-such as service windows, carrier capacity, rates, dwell time, and disruptions-into scalable, high-performance systems.

What you will do:
Lead the design and evolution of truckload transportation planning and execution solutions, including:

Schedule feasibility analysis

Knowledge of containerization, microservices, and cloud-native deployment, including Kubernetes and Docker, in disconnected or edge environments
Experience with deployed software and databases using cloud services such as AWS or Azure

Understanding of defense software development processes and accreditation requirements is a plus
Understanding of government security practices, including secure coding and system hardening

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Pay Disclosure: The total base salary range for this role is $115,000 - $155,000 annually, with opportunity for a quarterly discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be determined based on skills and experience.
