Job Summary

The Staffing Assistant role is a position that primarily provides support to Clinical Resources and is responsible for coordinating staffing throughout the nursing units. When in the Staffing Assistant, the incumbent will contact each nursing unit's Charge Nurse to identify staffing needs and will assign pool/SST and floor team members to areas in need. May handle sensitive information and is expected to maintain confidentiality at all times. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Qualifications Required Skills
High school graduate or GED. Two years clerical or administrative support experience and proficiency in the use of MS Office, Word and Excel software. Good communication skills, organized and comfortable to work on a fast paced environment. Medical background needed with knowledge on Epic. Flexibility in schedule to transition from days to night shift sometimes.
