The CMM Operator/Programmer ensures manufactured automotive components meet precise design and quality requirements by performing dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs). Depending on experience, this role may involve running established CMM programs, creating and optimizing new programs, and supporting advanced quality control activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Operation & Inspection
Operate CMM equipment to inspect production parts, first articles, and samples.
Load/unload parts, set up fixtures, and execute existing CMM programs.
Document and report inspection results, escalating nonconformances to Quality or Engineering.
Programming & Advanced Functions (as applicable)
Develop, edit, and validate CMM programs based on CAD models and engineering drawings.
Conduct capability studies, PPAP submissions, and first article inspections.
Analyze GD&T results and prepare detailed dimensional reports.
Mentor operators in inspection best practices and CMM program execution.
General Quality Support
Maintain CMM equipment calibration, cleanliness, and functionality.
Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects.
Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
Qualifications Required (Operator level):
High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years in manufacturing or quality inspection.
Basic blueprint reading and measurement tools knowledge (micrometers, calipers).
Willingness to learn CMM operation and software.

JOB SUMMARY
Creates and modifies production work instructions. Follows direction from Staff Engineers updating PFMEA'S. Follows through on requests in a timely manner, updating all appropriate persons/department leads.
RESPONSIBILITY
* BOM (Bill of Material) updates in JDE when there is a change of part number or when there is a launch for a new pump model.
* Places requisitions in JDE, working with Purchasing
* Creates and updates PFMEA
* Creates and updates Control plans for SIDI department
* Updates problem solving documents for production
* Update and verify standard work
* Equipment time studies
* Holds engineering task review events
* Preform scheduled weekly Layered Process Audits
QUALIFICATIONS
* Good working knowledge of the PFMEA processes.
* Strong leadership skills with team environments.
* Must have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Products
* Good organizational and planning skills, some analytical and problem-solving ability and ability to learn quickly and grow within an organization. Ingenuity and creativity a plus duction.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Replace faulty machine equipment including, but not limited to, relays, switches, positioning devices, and controls
• Service and repair electric motors
• Manipulate automated equipment via HMI, remote control, teach pendant and other control devices for the purpose of troubleshooting purposes and repair/service verification
• Assist in the planning and installation of building wiring, conduit, and electrical equipment
• Diagnoses and replaces faulty electrical components to mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machines and equipment
• Install conduit and cabling/wiring for newly installed machinery and equipment including robotics, conveyance, and the associated programmable controllers
• Terminate wiring for power supply, interconnecting cables, data/communications cables, and a variety of other cabling and wiring connections

Technical Requirements
• Proficient working with voltages up to 600 VAC including 480 VAC and 277 VAC
• Knowledge and experience working with 12 VAC and 24 VDC controls
• Knowledge and experience working with PLC applications such as Rockwell RSLogix and Siemens software
• Strong understanding and comprehension of electrical schematics
• Working knowledge of motor controls, drives and other motion control devices
• Working knowledge of multi-axis robots and controllers from ABB
• Working knowledge of Laptop computers and Microsoft applications
Critical Competencies and Experience Required
• Knowledgeable in both practice and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Able to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP/SMP) and plant safety guidelines

Responsibilities:
The following are the specific performance objectives for the position. In assessing competency and fit, all candidates will be benchmarked against these standards.
Achieve Quota: Consistently meet or exceed a quota of 50 new club memberships per month within 60-days. While this goal will vary month to month, on average a good sales rep will generate 50+new memberships each month. Monthly quotas should be adjusted seasonally January, February and March might be 50-60 sales while other months may be 35-30. (Competencies: competitiveness, work-ethic, motivation)
Call all Leads Within Two Days and Convert 30% into Appointments: Reps must call back each assigned lead within 48 hours, quickly engage the potential customer by understanding their reasons for wanting to join a club, and use a variety of persuasive and selling techniques to convert 30% of these calls into a scheduled tour of the facilities. (cold calling, verbal communications, adaptability, listening, selling, rapport building, persuasiveness)
Effectively Plan Each Sales Day: Great reps will spend 45-minutes to an hour each day preparing and planning for their next day. They will identify who they will meet, calls they will make, goals and the expected outcomes of their efforts. Great reps will also quickly review their approach for each scheduled club tour and customize their approach based on the information they collected from the person on the phone. (organizing, planning, diligence, ability to summarize quickly, doesn't over-prep)
Conduct Effective Club Tours: Within two weeks, know the core products offered by the club and be in a position to quickly (10-15 minutes) understand a typical potential member's needs. Present the club's product line as a solution to the customer's needs appealing to their emotions and preferred buying methodology. Within 30-days, great reps will consistently conduct five club tours each day and maintain an overall close ratio greater than 50%. Become Product Expert: Proactively learn all aspects of the club's programs and services during the first seven days. Develop examples of all key benefits by product offering. Work with Team to Provide Excellent Customer Service: Develop strong awareness of total team approach to service customers in the club. * Disassemble and inspect fuel injectors and pumps for wear, damage, and defects
* Clean all components using ultrasonic cleaners, solvents, and other cleaning equipment
