Job Description:
Thorough knowledge of all CNC machining principles, including but not limited to: G code programming from drawing, CAD/CAM, work holding, tool optimization, machine capacity optimization and changeover procedure development and optimization. Preferred experience with Mazak Variaxis Machines (Vertical mill with turning capabilities), Mazak Integrex (Mill turn machine) and Mazatrol Control experience. Mazak Palletech System experience a plus and Muratec CNC machines with Fanuc controls experience a plus.
Maintenance and Technician assistance for CNC Machine tool issues, including part acquisition and ordering and current production process issues.
Data-driven: through compiling and analysis.
Detailed documentation creation capabilities ie: Work Instruction, Quality Information System documents-(Engineering Change Requests, Material Inspection Reports, Process Change Requests, and Kaizen documenting and reporting).
Perform PFMEA reviews, Safety Audits, and Layer Process Audits monthly for assigned areas.
Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical troubleshooting across CNC equipment (Mazatrol controls)
Team oriented with cross functional department cooperation(Design, Controls, Maintenance, Management, Quality, Logistics, HR, IT, Purchasing). Multitask oriented.
Assist with training/troubleshooting with Coaches, Technicians, and Associates.
Develop/Improve- machine/process changeover instructions with Technicians to reduce non-value-added time.
New projects/Continuous improvement using Lean principles, experience working with and/or facilitating Kaizen Events.
Statistical Process Control Experience.
Siemens and Mazatrol Control experience.
Meet or exceed annual Goals established by the Engineering Manager. Thorough documentation and reporting for all Goals. Weekly Team meeting reporting.
Overtime and weekend work as needed.
Mechanical/ Electrical Bachelor's Degree preferred; Comparable experience will be considered.

Operations Support

Lead cost-reduction initiatives through design and process optimization.
Coordinate with maintenance and facilities teams to ensure equipment reliability and calibration.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with ISO, IATF 16949, and other applicable standards.
Develop and maintain PFMEAs, control plans, and risk assessments.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for product or process issues
Project Management
Manage capital projects and process improvement initiatives within the remanufacturing area.
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for engineering performance, cost, and productivity.
Oversee new product introductions (NPI) and engineering change implementation in the reman process.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (Master's preferred).
Experience: 10+ years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, including 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proven background in remanufacturing, reverse engineering, or product rebuild operations.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Hands-on experience with process validation, equipment design, and failure analysis.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Proficient with CAD, ERP, and data analysis tools.
