    We are currently looking to add a Process Engineer to our team. The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, documenting, and improving production processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality vehicle upfitting operations. Key Responsibilities Process Documentation & Standardization Develop and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and build guides for all production areas. Document best practices and ensure consistent use of approved production methods. Support training initiatives by providing clear, usable documentation for technicians and supervisors. Bills of Materials (BOMs) & Standard Upfit Support Assist in creating and maintaining BOMs for standard and recurring upfit packages. Validate BOM accuracy by collaborating with Procurement, Engineering, and Production. Ensure materials, hardware, and assemblies are correctly documented to support efficient builds. Production Floor Troubleshooting & Support Assist production teams with technical issues, material concerns, or installation challenges. Identify root causes of process or quality issues and support corrective actions. Provide engineering input to reduce rework, improve quality, and maintain production flow. Exposure to vehicle noise, tools, and shop conditions; PPE required in designated areas. Qualifications Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred. 1-4 years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, upfitting, or process engineering roles. Experience working with technical drawings, CAD models, and engineering documentation. Knowledge of automotive systems, commercial vehicle equipment, or mechanical installations is strongly preferred. Job Posting External Job Duties Support current process technology and implement improvements to department/plant operations based upon manufacturing engineering analysis of existing operations compared to future requirements based on capacity, cost reduction, safety and/or risk avoidance opportunities. Help to prepare project justification including recommendations, make-vs-buy analysis, layout, cost impact and schedule activities as required. Implementation of processes including equipment procurement, coordination of installation, process capability prove-out, training, process documentation, work standard measurement and production start-up. Contribute to the product introduction process. Review production problems as they are identified and implement solutions. Develop, implement and update documentation and training Develop reports, project briefings and management presentations. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications 8-15 years related experience High School graduate or equivalent Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business < 20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday. Must demonstrate good communication skills amongst shop floor, support staff, and plant leadership. Must be able to lead and execute small teams and projects. Preferred Qualifications Certain technical skills and training such as CNC programming, CAD layout, geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T), process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC) may be required.     Accountable for developing, improving, and supporting all production processes associated with the launch, manufacture, and test of products in an assigned value stream or product line. Often works under the direction of a Process Engineer II or III.
