We are currently looking to add a Process Engineer to our team. The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, documenting, and improving production processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality vehicle upfitting operations. This role creates work instructions, standard operating procedures, and best-practice documentation to support consistent production results across the organization. The Process Engineer will assist with building Bills of Materials (BOMs) for standard upfits, support troubleshooting on the production floor, and optimize workflow for quality, throughput, and cost. Additional responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting OEM body builder manuals to ensure upfits meet OEM requirements, maintaining regulatory compliance, and performing weight distribution and driveline analysis as needed. While small design projects may occur, this is primarily a process-focused engineering role. Exposure to vehicle noise, tools, and shop conditions; PPE required in designated areas. Qualifications Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred. 1-4 years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, upfitting, or process engineering roles. Experience working with technical drawings, CAD models, and engineering documentation. Knowledge of automotive systems, commercial vehicle equipment, or mechanical installations is strongly preferred. Skills & Abilities Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to understand vehicle systems and upfit requirements. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar). Familiarity with ERP systems, BOM structures, and engineering change processes. Additional Duties: * Support supply chain and quality with supplier development activities as needed. * Support resolution of supplier quality issues as required. * Support customer/regulatory audits as necessary. * Support customer complaints & concerns within a defined value stream. * Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, companywide. * Other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned. * Must remain current with, and complete all required training as assigned. * Must adhere to Company Corporate EHS Policy and department, occupation, and task specific safety protocols, including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements. Qualifications: * 0-5 years manufacturing or engineering experience. * Hands on troubleshooting & problem solving including statistical analysis. * Working knowledge of CAD software and 3D printing. * Excellent technical, written and oral communication skills. * Working knowledge of MS Office. * Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of both manual and automated mechanical equipment for tooling, fixtures, and testing preferred,experience in lean manufacturing preferred, working knowledge of GD&T preferred, working knowledge of CAD software preferred, working knowledge of ERP (in particular BOM & Method creation & support) preferred. * Must submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with the Company. * Must take medical exams required by law, in conjunction with occupation specific activities, the physical work environment, and ongoing industrial hygiene sampling results. * Depending on assignment, may be required to use stairs, remain upright and/or seated for prolonged timeframes, intermittently reposition the body per various tasks performed, and use various tools and work-related supplies. * May be required to perform manual lifting activities, not to exceed a 40lb lift performed by one individual. Education: * Four year degree in engineering required (mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or manufacturing preferred) OR 8-10 years of progressive manufacturing job responsibility in lieu of degree.

What You'll Do As part of our dynamic manufacturing team, you'll play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include: Developing methods, tooling, and techniques to reduce setup time, changeovers, and equipment operation effort Implementing cycle time reduction strategies in bottleneck manufacturing cells Troubleshooting machining processes and PLC programs (Siemens & Allen Bradley) Modifying manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, cost efficiency, or accommodate design changes Supporting financial goals through budgeting, expenditure scheduling, and project budget management Managing capital projects: equipment specs, runoffs, installation, and contractor coordination Updating and maintaining equipment and production layout drawings Developing engineering solutions for recurring equipment/process failures Identifying and delivering departmental training to boost skill levels Reviewing and coordinating TPM, PM, proactive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime Owning PFMEA, control plans, and process flows in collaboration with the Quality Engineer Supporting shop floor teams with problem-solving and standard work instruction development Managing external contractors for process and equipment improvements Collaborating across all levels to enhance machinery and manufacturing processes Leading Kaizen activities and documenting outcomes Understanding key environmental aspects and related operational controls What You'll NeedEssential: B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or related field) 2+ years of experience in high-volume machining, assembly, and automation Hands-on experience with Lean Enterprise methodologies Must be fluent in English Must be able to work and travel independently Desirable: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, MfgPro, Kronos Why You'll Love Working Here Join a market-leading company with exciting growth potential Be part of innovative, new projects from the ground up Enjoy competitive salary and benefits in a financially stable environment Thrive in a long-term career with a company that values commitment and development
