Job Purpose

* Purchase Raw Materials and Finished Parts - Place purchase orders with suppliers to support production, service, and project requirements while complying with Purchasing International Standard Organization (ISO) procedures. Ensure correct pricing is used when issuing orders, including sizing orders to obtain optimum price breaks and minimal set up costs while maintaining acceptable inventory levels and minimizing obsolescence risk. IT Procurement Collaboration - Collaborate with IT professional teams to onboard new enterprise software solutions. Work with IT on consistent application of a strategic sourcing process and joint development of negotiation strategies and tactics. Collaborate with IT leadership to plan all major IT procurement activities associated with the purchase or lease of IT hardware, software, and services. Work with senior IT managers and their staff to identify, select, and manage suppliers to cover external requirements.
Contract Negotiations - Lead negotiation and ensure development, negotiation, and execution of favorable contractual arrangements while incorporating expected price, performance, quality, service, and security standards. Basic Qualifications:

SUPPLY CHAIN - MATERIALS EXCELLENCE CO-OP This co-op position is for students majoring in Supply Chain Management, Materials, Operations, or Purchasing. This position provides an opportunity to learn the business of a premier commercial vehicle supplier from various perspectives within the company. A co-op in this role works primarily in the Materials department.
Job Responsibilities
• Analyze scheduling techniques and parameters to reduce inventory and achieve days-of-supply targets
• Aid in the process of inventory and demand forecasting as related to the Sales and Inventory Operating Plan (SIOP)
• Assist in manufacturing inventory control
•Participate in the development and implementation of innovative and beneficial programs aimed at improving customer satisfaction, inventory management, and operational efficiency
•Identify and coordinate supplier “buy back” opportunities
•Serve as a project management liaison - work with IT, Plant Materials, Operations Personnel, and other functional disciplines
