ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
School bus drivers are more than just vehicle operators. Students often consider them friends and parents trust them with the safety of their children.
Provide safe, courteous, and timely transportation services to Standing Rock Community School students. Including daily school transportation, transportation to and from school sponsored activities as scheduled and assigned, and other transportation services which are designed to provide students with access to regular and supplementary educational services and other required and needed services provided by the school
Provide transportation services in accordance with all traffic and safety regulations and school transportation services policies and procedures. Including: loading and unloading passengers, safety stops and procedures at railroad and other required crossings, and other applicable regulations and procedures.
Provide enforcement of student bus conduct in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Standing Rock Community School.
Maintain vehicles used in a safe, clean, and pleasant manner.
Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and routine maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and consistent operation.
Maintain and submit timely and accurate records of vehicle operation, maintenance and utilization as required by the Transportation Supervisor, including ISEP Student Count Week data and information.
Performs other duties as assigned deemed necessary by the Transportation Supervisor.
Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Standing Rock Community School Policies and Procedures.

Develop and implement appropriate performance-based, “authentic” methods of assessing student performance and development; maintain and report updated, accurate records of student accomplishments and needs in accordance with the methods of assessment utilized.
Provide opportunities for students to appropriately experience learning in a wide range of settings and work cooperatively in learning activities.
Provide opportunities for students to “showcase” (display or demonstrate) learning (i.e., music recital; spelling contests; science projects; creative writing displays; other) that the students have experienced.
Function as an advocate for the students under their immediate supervision in communication with administrative and other staff, parents, and other community members, organizational representatives; ensure that student are provided with advocacy in accordance with student rights and responsibilities and other procedures in the student handbook.

Ensure that ample and appropriate materials, supplies, equipment, and other resources are acquired for student learning for the students under their immediate supervision.
Establish and maintain positive methods and procedures for communicating consistently with the parents of students under their immediate supervision regarding individual student progress, needs, accomplishments, and other appropriate matters.
Appropriately refer incidences of child abuse/neglect through procedures of the Standing Rock Community Grant School.

Performs licensed law enforcement duties as an armed police officer enforcing the constitution of the United States, the laws of North Dakota, the municipal ordinances of the City of Fargo, and the rules and regulations of NDSU.
Responsible for police patrol of university facilities and grounds, enforcing institutional rules and regulations, state laws, and city ordinances. SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Opportunities exist for part-time, non-benefited instructors to teach college-level on-campus Chemistry classes.
Other responsibilities include submitting grades by the established deadlines and other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean and/or Dean of Humanities, Arts, and Sciences.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
* Master's degree in chemistry or a similar degree, or a master's degree with at least 15 graduate credits in marketing, business, management, or a similar degree, or a combination of education and equivalent experiences to be reviewed with the application.
* Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups.
* Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent written communication skills.
* Good computer software skills - Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, etc., electronic calendar and Email, and strong Internet familiarity.
Preferred:
* College teaching experience.
* Experience with Blackboard Learning Management System.
* Experience with non-traditional teaching methods such as facilitating group work, use of inquiry-based and other active learning, pedagogies, and/or contextualized instruction.
