**About the Initiative** : Artificial intelligence (AI) is profoundly transforming society, and Stanford Law School is at the forefront of assessing its legal, policy, and governance implications. The Initiative on AI Governance and Law is the central law school hub, bringing together faculty, students, and external partners to study and shape how AI is designed, deployed, and regulated across the public and private sectors.
The Initiative is the central law school hub for coordinating and guiding cutting-edge research, teaching, and engagement on AI and the law. It supports collaborative research across disciplines, seeds new projects, convenes leaders in academia, industry, and government, and trains the next generation of lawyers and policymakers in AI governance.
We are seeking to hire a full-time Executive Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for this ambitious endeavor. The Executive Director will report to Professor Nate Persily, co-chair of the Initiative's steering committee, and work closely with the committee, Stanford Law management, faculty, and external partners.
**Job Description** : As the chief staff officer for the Initiative, the Executive Director will be responsible for advancing the Initiative's research, teaching, and public engagement goals. Key responsibilities include:
**Strategic Leadership & Program Development**
+ Help establish, guide, and execute the Initiative's vision, goals, and long-term strategy.
+ Oversee development, design, implementation, and evaluation of research initiatives, teaching programs, fellowships, and public engagement activities.
+ Devise and implement vision, strategy, goals, and resource development in consultation with the faculty supervisor.
+ Identify emerging issues in AI governance and law and help shape and execute the Initiative's programming accordingly.
**Research & Academic Programming**

+ Assist with the development and administration of fellowship programs for postdoctoral scholars and research fellows.
+ Facilitate curricular innovation by coordinating new course offerings, policy labs, and faculty support in AI-related legal domains.
**Partnerships & Outreach**
+ Represent the Initiative to internal and external stakeholders, including Stanford centers, faculty across the university, and global partners in industry, government, and NGOs.
+ Organize conferences, workshops, and public events to convene leaders at the intersection of AI, law, and policy.
+ Develop and manage communications, including the Initiative's website, publications, reports, and policy briefings.
**Development & Fundraising**
+ Work with Stanford Law's External Relations team to identify and pursue funding opportunities from foundations, government agencies, industry partners, and individual donors.
+ Prepare proposals and reports to sustain and grow the Initiative's impact.
**Financial & Staff Management**
+ Lead the Initiative's operational and financial planning and oversee budgets to ensure sustainability.
+ Develop a staffing strategy for the Initiative. Recruit, mentor, and/or manage Initiative staff, including data scientists, research fellows, program managers, and technical specialists.
**Qualifications:**

The USC Sol Price School of Public Policy has an immediate opening for an Executive Director of Development to join its team. This position plays a vital role in the success of the Price School with a focus on revenue generation for the support of the highest priorities of the dean, including faculty research, student support, new initiatives, existing program support, and more. This is a new position that will oversee the Director of Development for Annual Gifts & Outreach, develop and help direct advancement engagement efforts, and strategically increase ROI on signature events. This position will play a central fundraising role in the launch and successful completion of the USC Price School centennial campaign, raising $100 million by 2029. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Advancement, the Executive Director of Development will manage a portfolio of approximately 80-100 individuals and family foundations, with a target annual fundraising goal of $5 million. Job Accountabilities:
Identifies, cultivates and solicits major prospects, and develops strategic plans for cultivating participation. Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this position is $132,563 - $148,831. The Work You Will Do
The Associate Director, Health Plans manages major components of the University's health and wellness plans and programs. The Associate Director will be responsible for the day-to-day operations alongside the Director of Health Plans Administration of USC's self-funded and fully-insured health plans for faculty, staff and retirees. The position reports to the AVP of Health Plans. Main responsibilities will include plan administration, oversight of operations and strategy of wellness and medical management programs, manage health plan member services and in collaboration with senior leaders monitor plan expenses.
The Associate Director, Health Plans:
· Plans and develops health and wellness program objectives and content. Researches and identifies trends and needs and establishes program directions accordingly. Assesses quality of program operations. Modifies existing program services or creates new program offerings to maintain or enhance program standing. Links program with other relevant departments on or off campus as necessary.
· Serves as a key resource for self-funded health plans and wellness program information. Resolves problems or questions referred by program staff, senior university administrators, or external vendors.
· Develops and recommends program operating and administrative policies. Manages the dissemination, interpretation and application of plan and program policies and recommends approval of exceptions.
· Develops services that achieve a high level of customer satisfaction with emphasis on customer service, highest standards of quality and innovation. Manages and resolves human resource and member claims and plan related issues.
· Plans and conducts quality assurance reviews and recommends changes as appropriate. Develops and maintains automated or manual systems and procedures to facilitate program operations.
· Directs the budget and resource allocations related to health and wellness programs. Manages the financial performance and identifies and implements strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of care and services.

Job Qualifications
Candidates for the position of Associate Director, Health Plans must meet the following minimum qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree
· 5-7 years of directly related professional and supervisory experience in health insurance programs
The ideal candidate for the position of Associate Director, Health Plans has the following preferred qualifications:
· Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or Health Administration (MHA) or related.
· Knowledge and experience in managed health care. General understanding including but not limited to: claims processing functionality, benefit coverage, provider network, standard billing requirements; and HIPPAA regulations.
· Knowledge and experience in administering an ERISA governed health plan.
· Familiarity with finance management in healthcare, insurance, and pharmaceutical industries a plus.
· Good organizational and project management skills, demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal and detailed oriented.
· Proficient experience using Microsoft Office, including advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

The University Health Plans department is tasked to oversee all medical, dental, vision and prescription care benefits for the university's faculty, staff, and their dependents (nearly 19,000 USC benefits eligible employees / 30,000 member lives). Employees may choose from six health insurance coverages options that include PPO, EPO and HMO plan types. Employee contributions vary depending on 5 tiers of salary groupings and number of eligible family members enrolled. The department plays a key role in supporting USC through key initiatives through health plan management, plan design, benefit planning, employee contribution pricing, financing and budgeting, and member services, all while balancing central administration's needs for fiscal discipline. About the Opportunity
The Associate Director of Mechanical Trades manages and administers the operations of engineering, electrical, plumbing, and elevator maintenance programs across the university campuses (University Park and Health Sciences). Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the position of Associate Director, Mechanical Trades meets the following preferred qualifications:
5 years of directly related progressive professional and supervisory/managerial experience in facilities operations/maintenance.
Journey-level experience in a Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) -related craft/trade; thorough comprehension of MEP trades/systems preferred.
Proven expertise instituting/managing comprehensive preventative maintenance (PM) programs, including defining and tracking KPIs to measure program effectiveness.
Effective verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively across a wide variety of audiences.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and supervisory skills; ability to lead, motivate, and develop a workforce; ability to interact effectively with employees, peers, customers, vendors, and administrators at all levels.
Relevant experience in large campus/institutional environments.

+ Resolve complex guest and client issues, including special needs and requests for programs and guests, with an emphasis on customer experience.
+ In partnership with the Assistant Director of Student Residential Services, oversee and manage staff responsible for 24/7 hospitality operations. Hire, mentor, and evaluate the performance of five direct reports and summer temporary staff. Identify training needs and create relevant training as needed.
+ Manage daily activities, including scheduling and assigning work to staff, leading and guiding workers in completing tasks, and monitoring the progress of work and projects.
+ Evaluate, modify, and implement new procedures as needed for guest reservations, guest check-in and check-out, data collection and analysis, reservation software, daily operations, and guest services.
+ Conduct room analysis to maximize occupancy and boost overall revenues for the GSB Residences.
+ Make modifications to room inventory based on operational needs and seasonality index.
+ Manage and audit program and guest billing to ensure precise accounting. Monitor metrics related to guest occupancy and revenue.
