POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Deputy Director for the John Gardner Center, the Quantitative Research Associate collaborate with Gardner Center staff and community partners to design and carry out rigorous, actionable, and capacity building research that responds to the partner's needs and enables them to make research-informed decisions that advance their efforts to improve the lives of youth, families, and communities.
CORE DUTIES:
* Develop and carry out research designs that utilize the most robust quantitative methods possible given project parameters (e.g., timeline, budget). This includes collecting, securing, cleaning, verifying, documenting, coding, and analyzing data using a variety of methods.
* Ensure quantitative and qualitative dimensions of a study are seamlessly integrated from initial design through final reporting.
* Meet with partners on an ongoing basis to review research activities, interim findings, and evolving analyses.
* Communicate research findings to a variety of interested, invested, and impacted parties, including academic and community audiences. This may include writing and presenting interim research updates, non-technical research summaries, and peer-reviewed studies for leading peer-reviewed journals.
* Participate actively as a collaborative member of the Gardner Center team, contributing to a vibrant, generative community dedicated to community engaged scholarship in the service of ensuring the wellbeing of our most vulnerable youth, families, and communities. This includes attending regular staff meetings and retreats, supervising students and junior staff on specific projects, collaborating with colleagues across the greater Stanford community and research field, and contributing to proposal development for future projects.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
A master's degree and five years of relevant experience in area of specialization relevant to this position or a combination of relevant education, training, and/or experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
A doctorate (or equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g., education, public policy, economics, sociology, anthropology, psychology, public administration) is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Experience designing quantitative research
* Experience with quantitative data collection and analysis
* Proficiency with quantitative analysis software such as Stata and/or R
* Excellent oral, written, analytic, organizational, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to handle multiple tasks, timelines, and priorities in a team environment.
* Ability to manage project budgets
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Experience supervising staff
* Experience effectively leading a research team
* Ability to engage, supervise, and mentor undergraduate student research assistants
* Familiarity with one or more of the systems that impact the lives of youth, families and communities in our region (e.g., the California K-12 education context, juvenile justice, youth mental health, foster care systems, youth enrichment/after school programs, housing).

The expected pay range for this position is $139,741 - $145,000 per annum. **POSITION SUMMARY:**
This position provides programmatic leadership and operational oversight to ensure Stanford's compliance with evolving federal research security requirements and to protect the integrity of the university's research enterprise. Responsibilities include developing and implementing research security policies and processes; conducting risk reviews of research activities, disclosures, and international engagements; monitoring and analyzing federal and agency regulations to assess institutional impact; building awareness across the research community through training, tools, and guidance; and facilitating collaboration across university compliance offices and committees to ensure consistent and effective execution of Stanford's Research Security Program.The position will also support related research policy, compliance, and integrity initiatives as assigned, reflecting the cross-functional nature of research oversight at the university. The University of Southern California's Leonard D. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics is accepting applications for one or more Postdoctoral Fellowships in health policy and health economics. The fellowship allows scholars to sharpen their analytical skills and advance their research agendas in the fields of health policy and health economics through formal and informal training and extensive collaboration with distinguished researchers.
Postdoctoral scholars at the Schaeffer Center collaborate with our outstanding USC faculty on research to advance the Center's mission and the career of the scholar. Each scholar works closely with a primary mentor. Protected time to finish outside projects is often available. Prior fellows have gone on to positions in government, nonprofits, industry and academia, including the University of Southern California. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics is to measurably improve value in health through evidence based policy solutions, research excellence, transformative education, and private and public sector engagement. Eligibility Criteria:
Scholars who have completed a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline such as economics, public policy, health policy, statistics, medicine, and psychology, are invited to apply. Scholars may be recent graduates or may have several years of research experience.

Compensation and Duration:
The annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

A postdoctoral research position in genetic and cancer epidemiology is available in the lab of Dr. Fei Chen at the USC Center for Genetic Epidemiology. Dr. Chen's research is focused on understanding the contribution of genetics and the interplay between genetic and non-genetic factors in determining risk, survival, and disparities of common cancers, with a special focus on prostate cancer, breast cancer, and multiple primary malignancies. The postdoctoral researcher will work directly with Dr. Fei Chen on analyzing data from genetic association studies, which includes GWAS and/or sequencing data from large-scale genetics consortia such as the RESPOND Study, UK Biobank, and All of US. In addition to genetic studies, non-genetic factors (e.g. lifestyle, diet, etc.) and their effects on cancer outcomes will also be examined using data from the Multiethnic Cohort Study. In this position, we are looking for a postdoctoral researcher with a strong interest in genetic and cancer epidemiology research. The applicant must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent qualification) with training in epidemiology, biostatistics, and/or statistical genetics. Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. R, python), common analytic tools for genetic research (e.g. PLINK, SAIGE, imputation, etc.), and a Unix-based computing environment is desirable, but not necessary. Experience in conducting genetic epidemiologic research and analyzing large genetic datasets is also a plus, but not necessary. Passion to learn about human genetic research and to perform rigorous research is a must. The postdoctoral researcher will participate in the presentation of their research and the writing of publications. The Interplay of Genes and Environment across Multiple Studies (IGEMS) Consortium in coordination with CESR at USC seek to hire a post-doctoral scholar for a 2-year tenure with a start date to be determined by the scholar's needs and current position. This scholar will support a newly awarded NIA grant (R01 AG081248) titled “Country, cohort, and gender disparities in the relationship between education and ADRD” which combines multiple measures of education to explore the education/ADRD relationship, noting that these relationships may vary as a function of diverse social environments-captured in our study as gender, country, and birth-cohort variation. Job Description: Prof. Karmel S. Primary Responsibilities: The Postdoctoral Researcher is expected to specifically contribute one or both of the following research areas: (i) develop the next generation data-driven stochastic and distributionally robust optimization methodologies or (ii) develop advanced fairness promoting stochastic optimization frameworks. In coordination with Prof. Shehadeh, the Researcher will lead the research team in writing manuscripts, disseminating findings at scientific meetings, preparing grant applications, and supporting the supervision of doctoral students.
Additional Information:

The annual base salary range for this position is $69,850. Fixed-Term Employment: Postdoctoral Scholar - Research Associate is a 1-year fixed-term position, scheduled to end 12 months from hire date. Your employment may also end for other reasons consistent with university policy. According to university policy, no severance benefits are paid to employees hired under a fixed term agreement. When you leave, your final paycheck will include pay for days worked, and for accrued and unused vacation. The university does not pay for accrued and unused sick days upon termination.

The University of Southern California (USC) Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy is seeking two Postdoctoral Scholars - Research Associates to join the Neural Plasticity and Neurorehabilitation Laboratory led by Dr. Sook-Lei Liew. These positions are funded by an NIH R01 grant focused on advancing research in stroke neurorehabilitation using big data, data science, artificial intelligence (AI), and brain imaging (MRI).
About the Role
The Postdoctoral Scholars will contribute to multidisciplinary research investigating how brain imaging can predict long-term motor recovery after. Specifically, this project will focus on the use of large structural brain imaging datasets (brain MRIs) to identify prognostic biomarkers of post-stroke sensorimotor recovery and other functional outcomes. The scholars will work closely with Dr. Liew and collaborators across neuroscience, engineering, computer science and rehabilitation disciplines, gaining valuable experience in both basic and translational research.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct independent and collaborative research in neurorehabilitation, neuroimaging, and AI
Design, implement, and analyze neuroimaging and behavioral experiments
Prepare manuscripts for publication and assist in grant writing

The University of Southern California, one of the nation's top universities, invites applications for a full- time, post-doctoral research associate in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department within the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. Candidates will conduct research focused on testing of construction materials and structures. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in experimental methods in construction materials and structural engineering. Examples include testing of 3D printed structures, FRP strengthened structures, fresh concrete and hardened concrete, and fiber-reinforced concretes, among others. The candidate should hold a doctoral degree in civil engineering or related fields. Publications in respected journals and a good understanding of testing standards and design guidelines/standards are preferred qualifications. Although not being required, a professional engineering license will be beneficial. The candidates are expected to heavily support the operation of Structures and Materials Research Laboratory as a ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited testing laboratory providing testing services to the industry. The responsibilities include operating test equipment, performing equipment and sensor calibration, proficiency testing, inventory management, record keeping, coordinating meetings, and preparing for and participating in laboratory audits by the accreditation agency.

The Bienkowski Lab at the USC Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute is focused on understanding the multiscale organization of the brain in health and disease. The lab uses cutting-edge technology (3D microscopy imaging and spatial transcriptomics) to investigate genetic, anatomical, and functional features of neuronal cell types in both rodent and human brain tissue. Our goal is to develop innovative tools and resources to help scientists better translate laboratory research into applied clinical treatments.
We are looking to hire a Postdoctoral Scholar - Research Associate to investigate characteristics of neuronal cell types and how they are impacted by Alzheimer's disease. The Postdoctoral Scholar - Research Associate will perform MERFISH spatial transcriptomics experiments using the lab's state-of-the-art MERSCOPE platform in mouse and post-mortem human tissue samples. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the analysis of single-cell transcriptomic datasets and is eager to learn and develop new spatial transcriptomics approach to their research. This position is partially supported by a NIH-funded T32 postdoctoral training fellowship for Training for the Multiscale and Multimodal Analysis of Biomarkers in Alzheimer's disease (T32 AG058507).
